As you probably already know, they have the highest live birth rate in the midlands - over 50% so you're in good hands.

Just remember to arrive as early as you can for the early morning scans - People start to arrive just before 7am and its "first come, first served".

Jibs - Its a bit complicated at first with the powders, nothing is ever simple, I used a hot water bottle when I was stimming and drink lots of water (3 litres) remember to relax and take time out just for yourself. Good Luck!!

Hi guys. :bighugs: to all who need them/want them.

My doctors appointment just confirmed to me why I hate doctors. Apparently all of my symptoms are because I am overweight and have PCOS. And no, they are not going to refer me to an endocrinologist, but instead they are going to take the same old pointless blood tests they have taken 100 times before. Oh, and neither are they going to treat the PCOS. Apparently, the best thing I can do is lose 5 stone and all my troubles will be solved. No !!!!!! Sherlock. Trouble is, because I have PCOS I can't shift the bloody weight. So kind of a vicious circle.

I am going out for a drink with a friend this evening, so i intend to enjoy myself and try and get my head around the day generally.

Have you considered taking Soy Isoflavones (natural Clomid alternative)?
    It should induce ov.

QQuaver, no, I had not thought of taking Soy iso-whatsits. Thanks for the tip! I will definitely bear that in mind.

I had a lovely boozy evening with my friend last night - and so far feel no ill effects. Hubby thinks that means I probably needed to let off steam a little. I suspect he is correct! Have decided to get back on the healthy eating bandwagon and do exercise and all that, and keep a food diary. On the off chance that I might get referred to an endocrinologist, they are going to need to see what I eat and when. And I am also going to try and find a local homeopath/naturopath and have a consultation. I have nothing to lose! :)

Hey ladies. I haven't been around for a bit so I will read back shortly. Went to the doctors yesterday and got my blood test results and DH's SA results. Not too sure what to make of them but from what i've read, it's not looking great.

    My results were:
    LH 6.9 - seems fine
FSH 10.0 - on the high side. From what i've read, this could suggest poor egg reserve and/or quality and recent research shows high FSH levels have a poor outcome in fertility therapy.

Progesterone levels on CD19 (I tend to have a 26 day cycle give or take and also according to my charts) were 22 - too low to suggest OV.

DH'S results were good for the main:
Volume 4.7 (should be more than 2ml)
pH 8.1 (should be more than 7.2)
    Viscosity normal
    Antisperm antibodies 0
Concentration 31.9 (should be more than 20)
This is where it gets not so good...
Progressive motility 49 (not too bad - should be greater than 50%)
Normal forms/morphology 7% (should be 15% or more)
Motile normal sperm concentration 1.1 (should be more than 1.5)

What i'm reading from this is that I could have poor quality and/or number of eggs which aren't releasing and DH has 7% of swimmers which are normally formed so even if the blighters get up there, theres nothing to fertilise anyway!

We've both been re booked for the tests to double check the results which means another 3 month wait at least. DH is already taking (and has been for about 6 months) wellman conception vit's and i'm going to look at what else he can take to improve his results, but i'm not aware of anything I can do for mine? My temping has consistantly showed OV apart from the month after my bloods were taken strangely when it looks like I had an anovulatory cycle.

Can anyone with a bit more experience in this advise me if i'm reading the results wrong?

    SK x
