Code I think the waitings the worst.Or is it the crushing darkness that conms with months of playing with your hormones, opps sat in tears again. Not a good look.
Huge hugs. I'm terrified of the hormone messing aspect. I had to be taken off the pill because I turned into crazy weeping lady so who knows what mess the fertility drugs will turn me into.
Would you like some chocolate or opiates?Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

I'm pretty sure facebook is only there to hammer home to us infertiles how utterly worthless our lives are as we can't post "share this if your kids are the best things since nuclear fusion" updates every 30 seconds. F you Mark Zuckerberg, F You.0

Opiates please.
Depression and fertility drugs don't mix well, I keep trying to tell myself its a means to an end but after so amany years trying you really start to think its never going to happen.
I hope the fertility drugs are kind to you.0 -

He also said he may look to do ICSI depending on how many eggs we get.
All in all, I'm pretty pleased! If only my previous clinic hadn't lost my latest blood test results, we would be good to go!
Can I pleased me updated to Next step: start down-regging on 20th (?) October.
Hi Derby, muchos muchos good luck to you! Can I ask why the doc suggested ICSI if all is OK with your OH's sperm? I thought they only used ICSI if sperm had problems?0 -
WTTD, I think he said he would look at ICSI if I don't produce many eggs, so if I don't pop many out, they'd try and make the best of what we've got by using ICSI. He did say he thought IVF would be the route we end up with but that he would look at it.
He was a little bit bonkers actually, but much nicer than my previous guy who wouldn't even have my notes in front of him during appointments!0 -

I read that article, tea lover. I read it in the paper though, not online so I don't know (and don't want to know) what the comments say.
I found it a little depressing, and unrealistic to be honest. At times it just read as yet another cautionary tale of why trying to 'cheat' mother nature ends in tears. It bypassed the biggest issue for me - at the end of the day, statistics and success rates are meaningless. People aren't choosing fertility treatment blindly because they think 'ooh, that will get me the baby I 'forgot' to have whilst pursuing my fabulous career'. They're doing it because they desperately, heartbreakingly, all-consumingly want a baby. No amount of 'now listen up here, it's not necessarily that successful you know' will change that. For most of us on here, it's our ONLY chance and one we will therefore bite out of your hands if we can."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
