Thanks for the birthday wishes, feel terrible on the menopur and so far only gained a thicked lining.Ive got no energy, feel full of cold and just want to go back to bed

first post here and not really sure if you welcome posts from a "hoping to be a granny" person. 1 dd has a beautiful grandchild but dd2 has just had her first IVF fail.

Really just wanted to comment on the OHSS issue, DD had severe OHSS following transfer and it is really horrendous so best wishes for anyone going through it now.

Sorry don't know all the abbreviations but good luck to everyone.

Thanks TCD and T2D! I am so glad I found this thread and all its lovely and fantastic support! Feeling a bit better about the result now, and will do my best to heed your advice T2D as you are right, I can't change it, just need to stay optimistic and focus my mind on areas I can change - just booked an acupuncture session, and ordered some pregnacare supplements for me and OH to support the fertility diet we are going to start on monday!

Arghhh My cycle (after years of being just "normal 25 day cycle) has gone crazy :cool:

Normall I am 25 day cycle and about 2 day bleed, lasting at VERY most 4 days.

August AF arrived a tad early (19th August) and then proceeded to last (heavily for me) for 5 days :cool:

Weird enough.... Then we BD on my first fertile day (26th August) and not again (knackered, on holiday etc ect lol) .. so AF isn't due by MY reckoning until about 14th September. Yet on Wednesday, had cramping SO badly it felt like she was going to arrive MEGA early (also head headache, backache, Diarrhea and felt very very hot - it wasnt dodgy tummy cramps btw lol) . It wasnt OV cramps as they are always very light and I had had that already on first fertile day (26th)..... Although it has eased, its still crampy now. !!!!!! is going on!? Grrrrr :mad:

Just been listening to a song called Pompeii by Bastille bawling my eyes out. Don't know why but the words really struck at me about infertility and how mine and OH are going to be left with dust and ashes when all of this crap is over with. Pah.

Sorry to hear about scan PM. Is there nothing they can give you to ease to side effects you're experiencing?

Part mouse, try a hot water bottle, for comfort and encourage follicles to grow? Happy birthday and hugs for rubbish scan x

Sat in Leeds ready for egg collection tomorrow morn. No more jabs!! :-) Not too nervous either. Job interview was shockingly awful, so back to square one on that matter, but at least it was experience and I had a chance to see in laws and new house.

I'm just about ready for bed now, I've been trying a hot water bottle but so far no joy, how long did you have to inject for before you saw the follies grow?

Ages. I started 150 of Menopur on 22nd Aug, upped to 225 on 28th Aug, and finished on 4th Sept, so 14 days.

On 30th Aug had 1 at 11mm, 5 at 10mm, 7 at 9mm and 7 at 8mm.
On 2nd Sept, 1 at 14, 1 at 13, 4 at 12, 18 smaller.
On 4th Sept, 2 at 17, 2 at 16, and 6 at 15-12mm.

My BMI is 30 and I'm same age as you. But apparently once they start growing they zoom along. Hope that reassures you x
