    Evening ladies.

Sorry PM and Tea for rubbish partners. I really think that for us the whole process is just so much more intense. I think its not that men don't care, they just never fully understand how and why it's so overwhelmingly important sometimes.

It's a logical thing maybe. Just 'ok, well that didn't work - lets see what else we can do, or just move onto other parts of life'.

To be honest my husband constantly surprises me that he assumes he WILL come to every appointment! He is generally silent and blank looking, but he shows up. Thank god I involved him with the whole cancer thing from the start - I was going to do the first follow up alone, but it was 1000% easier that he had been there from the start when things did eventually go bad.

Hopefully you are feeling better. Tea, don't make massive decisions now, things will improve for you both.

Becca - hopefully the BD'ing for the last few days helps. I remember when I got a smiley on an OPK and I was so pleased!

AFM. Still no idea what is happening. No sign or hint of AF. I tested again on Sunday and still a BFN. That would have been CD 37, possibly 23DPO so if I was pregnancy it would have shown up. I'll keep testing, but I think now it's just into the land of confusion and potentially new problems. Fingers crossed its just some very weird blip.

CD40 tomorrow! Yikes. I have never come close to a period this long, I just don't know what to make of it.

Oh, and I have started the 5:2 diet today. I want to lose 10kg between now and IVF start in August/Sept.

First day fasting and I really like it. I quite like fasting - I've done it for crazy crash diets in the past, and it's actually a good feeling.

Didn't work long term in the past, but hopefully if I balance it now with more normal eating days I can avoid the normal trap of lots of weight loss, and then all back on again! That's the theory at least. I will let y'all know how it goes. :)

I'm going to contact my FS. My Op is in a week and a half and I should ovulate a day or so beforehand. I don't know if we should bd or not this cycle. They might not have to bother with the dye test if they can see an egg and s. swimming around in areas they should not be. :rotfl:
I phoned the hospital. This month is a write off as anything inside will be washed out after the dye test.

    Morning all

Just popping out of lurkdom to say I'm so sorry that everyone is having such a bad time of it at the mo.

Re IVF and injections I had the same issue as you ladies re leakage on my leg after having done the injection, swirling the needle around the vial to ensure every last drop was in the syringe. I worried every time it happened. I think the key for the injecting is to get a good pinch of skin for the needle to go into.

On other news I hope I'm not being insensitive in saying that our IVF ICSI miracle baby boy was born on Saturday. I wasn't on this thread for long as i didn't know it existed but we were TTC for 4 years. I'm only posting in the hope that it gives you hope in the process, particularly for those of you that are worrying about IVF and whether you are doing the right thing or even that the injections are working/ follicles are growing etc. I was a poor responder and on both fresh cycles only ever had 2 embryos to transfer. But it can work.

Be positive. Good luck to anyone who has IVF coming up, hugs to all those with rubbish partners. Hugs to those just generally feeling rubbishy and down with TTC.

    ETO, congatulations! :j

Tealover, I hope things improve soon :(

If anyone wants to know, I saw my midwife yesterday and she told me to ring the EPU for a scan to check it's not ectopic. I now have an appointment for next thursday morning, so hopefully everything will be where it should be and hopefully there'll be a heartbeat by then. My best friend miscarried on monday and ended up in hospital overnight, so I'm feeling rather fragile about this poppyseed right now. :o

ETO - Congratulations! What lovely news.

Zippy - If you are still feeling positive then hopefully it's all still okay :) Have you had any pain or anything to suggest otherwise? Is your scan tomorrow or next week? My next scan is Tuesday morning and I'm actually very nervous again. I think I'll be 8 weeks, although it could be anywhere between 8 and 9. Who knows. I'm looking forward to having an EDD.

ETO what lovely news, huge congrats.

Re bad partners my dh has never come to a single appt and when I had to go to A&E the other night he refused to come. I had an abnormal smear a month after getting married for the second time and went to that alone. Had a chat to dh last night about things and he said he will change and be more supportive. We will see as we've had that chat before. Not looking forward to the duphaston to induce af.

    xx
