My mate wants to give blood with me, but he broke his leg back in January and had to have an operation to put pins in the bone... I'm guessing this would count as 'major surgery' can anyone confirm this?
I am not sure, but just get him to give them a ring and see if they will accept him. 0845 7 711 711.A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0 -

My donor centre (Southmead in Bristol) is currently having a push to get platelet donors to donate at least 10 times each year. Do that and you have a similar thank you gift. As I'm currently banned from donating due to surgery in April it looks like I'll miss out0 -
I used to donate platelets every month, and then the EU brought in some new rules about how high your platelet count had to be, which meant I couldn't donate anymore.0

I made inquires too, but unfortunately I can't give platelets. They will have to make do with just my blood.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4.............................NCFC member No: 00005.........

I'm blood type A+ and have given blood several times. I can't at the moment until October however because I had some body piercings a few months back0

I would love to give blood but as I go on holiday almost every year to Thailand (and they have changed the rules to disallow the whole of Thailand whereas before they allowed anywhere south of Bangkok)0
