:T Wow, what a great thread, seriously brought a tear to my eye!

For anyone that has an aversion to second hand clothes - my hubby did, so I took to not telling him that I'd bought him something (brands he already owned like Next, Burton..) & just slip it into his wardrobe. He'd sometimes mutter 'I don't remember that' but wear it anyway. Now he has more clothes than I do!

I work in a newsagents / supermarket so often find it depressing looking at magazines, while surrounded by chocolate & crisps - however, as I'm presently trying to lose weight - I'm looking at magazines in a new light.. I will look at what is cool (for example turquoise tops), and then go and search for similar colours or styles - on ebay & in charity shops. I'm sure in Leeds you could probably spend a whole day doing all the charity shops! <am very jealous :p>

I can't remember the last time I paid full price for something - given that I'm a 24/26 presently the only options would be Evans, that ain't gonna happen any time soon either!

Anyway, it's so lovely that so many people on here have offered to help you, and I hope you gain confidence from your new wardrobe. And I hope some more people sign up to Freecycle too.

Just another thing as well, thought i was doing good by selling 2 old mobiles on Mazuma to get some extra cash towards my clobber fund, got an email today to tell me my order had expired, they obviously havent received them  It was £36 i really could have done with having!! My own fault i suppose for just putting them straight in the post box but if you cant trust your postie, then who can you trust??!!!

    Lastminute-auction.com
    goofbay.com

(Sorry can't give links yet )
This is good for getting last minute bargains from ebay if you have time to trawl through it all. When I haven't had the money to shop it just fulfills that urge to get something new without spending a fortune.

Also...do you have friends or relatives similar sizes that you could do a bit of a wardrobe swap with. I think they call it swishing.:D

I know how you feel LL, I often feel down and frumpy, and despite having far too many clothes, I often can't find snything I want to wear. I have seriously down days every now and again, but I have to be strong and not care what others think. It is difficult sometimes, but I try to have an intentionally unique style rather than just stand out from the crowd because I haven't got a trend quite right.

Anyway, boring comment over now, your parcel's in the post hun xx
