well looks like life is conspiring against me and this chat with hubby ...his mother has been rushed in for emergency surgery and it will be a long recovery ...so that takes presedance (sp) and it is how it should be ...but i will have my chat i will i tell you ...0

Sorry to hear about the MIL..hope she recovers soon.0

Hope MiL recovers soon, and in the meantime, keep your own spending on the straight and narrow - just because you've not yet had "the talk" doesn't mean you can't get on with the job in hand!

hey all ,
been busy bees this side ...mil has had the op as far as i know everything is ok will need to see though ..
i have been keeping on top of the spending and re introduced the spending diary hubby didnt moan just accepted it and has been using it ....we have had a half talk some things have been discussed ...the things that can be achieved immediately ...nothing future just now i think hubby has enough to concentrate on ...he was quite understandably concerned about his mum...i think after he sees her tonight he might feel more settled ...i am overtime tonight though so wont get a chance to catch up with him till tomorrow ...
scratchies have been done clicks also ...accounts checked every day i think i am going to stop the pads for a while ...there is no point in doing a pad if i am in the red in the account i am taking it out of ...as soon as is feasible i will reinstate the pads as i do like the challenge ...
sorry havnt been checking anyones diary have been busy ...if i get a chance tonight at work and have the laptop at work i will check it out...hope you are all well0 -
Glad you are keeping on top of things and of course, OH has other stuff that needs to occupy his mind.....but in my experience, it is times of additional stress that lead to "easy spending" - takeaways, extra chocolate, that general cant-be-arsed-to-think stuff that we all know soooo well! So to be back with the spending diary is a really positive thing for you right now.
And you are quite right - no point in doing PAD if you are incurring debt as a result........Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
