that would be better than having money to hide taxi lol ....

well i got woken up at 4 am this morning by my son...he had an arguement with a neighbour 4 weeks ago about noise ...tonight the neighbours smashed his windows in and came into the house and batterred my son and his two friends ...he was phoning me to ask me what he should do ...he had got his friends over and they were going to go round the guys house and retaliate ...i managed to calm him down from that (it took over 30 mins) and hung up saying i was giving him 30 mins to get rid of his friends and then i would speak to him again ...left it 15 mins phoned back and they had returned and smashed his house to bits so the police were back down ...i am now waiting for the police to drop him off here ...so it has been a bit of a night ....

ok i know this might sound selfish and bizzare ...but we had planned on going away this weekend we have people arriving here in a few hours to go ...we try and go away once a year with these people for a break.... i dont know if i will make it to alton towers now ...was thinking that i would maybe be better taking him to get him away from it for the weekend (not to take his mind off of it but to make sure he didnt do anything rash) but i dont know if that would help ...would we be better staying here and trying to stop him (he is understandably angry right now) or maybe better getting some distance from the situation ....i will wait till he arrives and see i think

Oh El, this is really crap for you ((EL))

At the end of the day, I see your son had phoned the police- surely theywould be interested in the neighbour.

Why is he not able to live harmoniously with people? Is there any projects you know of in your area that could support him., it really feels like he might need a bit of support to "grow into an adult"

Definately go this weekend. ( if you havent gone already) your son needs to know that the world doens stop because he wants to start beating people up with his freinds :eek::eek::eek::eek: does he know he could land in prison for this?
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

    morning el
just what you need more stress!!
sounds like adults not being very adult,,was it your son making the noise?? if so
let him, sort it out with the police and file charges...and tell him to grow up and be more considerate of his neighbours,,
if it was the neighbour making the noise ,,then he has a double complaint,,let him, sort it out with the police and file charges..
.so you know what why the h£ll am i stressing ...his life his choices
    exactly !
go enjoy your weekend and chill

I agree with Lynz - firstly have a ((hug)) but definitely don't alter your plans because of what is happening.

Again, go back to the "whats the worst that can happen".......he will get into a scrap, get arrested, and might either get some sense knocked into him, or will have the wake up call needed once he is sitting in a police cell with a court date being prepared for him.

Sometimes, as with the debt, we need to reach the bottom before we can start turning things round and moving on up again.....at some point your son will get there, and have a LBM. Until then, rather like trying to tell people who put their SOA up, that they really can't afford sky or the gym, but who continually justify it as "my only form of entertainment", sometimes, you won't make any difference at all to their mindset, so you might as well carry on with your own life, knowing that at some point THEY will realise that they can't justify the gym or sky any longer, and they actually WANT to make those changes for real.

Sorry, am rambling. I don't envy you and OH right now, and I do hope that you manage to get a really good weekend away xxxx
