  • That sounds great EL, we used to watch Lindisfarne and had the same effect (sad eh?)

I used to do quite a few of the folk festivals a couple of years ago, but don't have the time lately- i miss a shindig.

hey dragon its quidco ...just type in high street web and go through the clicking process you only get 4p a time but you are allowed 2 clicks a day so 8p per day per account it's kinda like the scratchies in that it doesnt give you alot but it does all mount up at the end of the day ...

right well i have had an interesting evening the brother/friend of hubby arrived tonight looking for reiki ...i explained that i doing freebies no more and got stared at for a good wee while ...i then said well do you do freebies? and at the end of the day mr el's bro this buisness has cost me a hell of alot of money and time ...so i let him sit with it for a wee while ...then he said ok let's go for it how much so i said i will give you mates rates £15 which is actually quiet good ...so i did a session he commented afterwards that he didnt think i could really do it but he really enjoyed it and got alot out of it he wants more ...and gave me £20 said it was worth it ....hmmmmm interesting ...i learned a bit about me and others perceptions of me through it as well ...oh and tomorrow i am going to the bank to pay in £20 and colour in another square yay

i deff feel alot more focussed taxi ...although your idea has thrown a spanner in the works lol ...all for the better might i add ...

right have done my scratchies 10p and my quidco 2x4p so far today and checked the banks ...it seems like it takes forever for the money to go from the nationwide to the rbs i think i might have to set it up for from the nationwide straight to the a&l cutting out rbs all together ..

my week for fun frolics and debauchery have finished so its nose back to the grindstone ...i have quite a bit of thinking to do ...after seeing taxis new thread and plymouth (oh i forget his other bit) thread i am thinking ok yes el you need to concentrate on the debt but you also need to know why you got back into it ...and i am wondering (purely wondering at this stage) could it be because you got so focussed on the debt and not other things ...say if i had something to save for after i became debt free again ..will have to factor in the mortgage and that has to go as quickly as possible as well ...but then the other side says but el little chunks ...so am going to let these thoughts work their way through the back of my mind for the next wee while and i will see how it goes with that one ...right i am off to the bank got money to pay in ...gonna cheat a wee bit and fill my square in before i go ...i will not stop however i will not be distracted by any books i will put the money straight into the account ...scouts honour

El, thats great to read about you stopping doing freebies - the mates rates rate is still really good! Real mates *want* to pay you.

I think its really important for us to think about why we got to where we are. For me, it sounds very odd - I've been playing too safe ... there are a few other factors too, but the too-safe business has been a big lesson for me. Positive risks that I've analysed and taken care over are what have taken me forward till now, and somehow I stopped doing that. So I have to start again!

Well done on the debtbusting. I know what you mean about focussing on the debt. I seem to spend much less if Im concentrating on getting the debt gone. Hopefully nothing will come along to veer me of course.:T
