Oh polkadot that sounds horrible - I hope your son gets better soon. It's horrible when they are really ill like that and there's nothing you can do for them. Hopefully a quick course of antibiotics and calpol will get him on the road to recovery. My little one is like that - sailed through chicken pox but got an ear infection at the same time each year for the last 2 years. Horrible thoughts running through my head, whisked him down to A&E but all fine in the end.

Twinklie - my OH is totally head in the sand about his family as well. His mum lets his sister and niece live in her house practically rent free and babysits every day so she doesn't have to pay for childcare. She lives about 45 mins from us and never comes to see us and has not even once offered to babysit so we can have a night out or a few hours to ourselves. My family do everything they can for us and his mum just moans that we only want to spend time with them...... hrmph .... Best thing is not to think about it too much ...

Still trying to convince OH if there's no BDing there will be no chance of a little one.... but he still has horrible headache and sinus problems so no go there. TBH an ill person is a bit of a turnoff so probably a good job he doesn't want to:D However may not be happening for us this month as based on my longest cycle I'm probably fertile now. Never mind. I will make myself not do a test until at least a week past 34 days as chances will be my cycle will just get longer.

Good luck to you all x

    Morning all

Have had such a rough morning so far, woke up feeling reall groggy, came n,downstairs and got a drink and had really bad AF cramps on one side, tried laying down, walking around, heat, cold etc nothing, got really dizzy and hot and sweaty so went to the loo, nothing major happening but then i just vommited! and im sure noone likes to vomit but it was horrid, all liquid as well....

then i couldnt move, was so hot, had a wet flannel over me, stripped off and ra a bath and ive been sat in the bath for 2 hours, just dozing..... i hate being in so much pain, topped the bath up about 4 times, and felt better, but now ive just got out and i feel really rough again.....

sorry to moan, just want to cry, was feeling quite positive yesterday about making my lists etc and then this.........

Hey CAFCGirl, that sounds rubbish, sorry to hear you are not feeling well. If you have a high temp have you rung the 'swine flu' helpline? Or do you normally feel a bit like this with AF??
I have a manic phobia about being sick, my childminder had bad AF cramps and was being sick all yesterday and last night so can't have DS. I'm quite glad though because if it's contagious I don't want any of it!
Hope you feel better soon xx

:grouphug: oh dear, sounds like you've got a bug honey! Try not to let it get you down (and that may be impossible, I know how it is!) and give your body a chance to recover. Failing that, get OH to spoil you and fetch you drinks and soup and fresh flannels ;)

Ooh err, lots of lurgy on here today... We're turning into a poorly bunch, maybe the stress of TTC is lowering our immune systems?! Anyway, get well wishes to those in need.

CAFCGirl - that sounds just like my AF used to start like! Even my doctor back then said things would improve when I had a baby, but I'm still waiting! Thankfully, it isn't as bad as it used to be - so I'm hoping it is a bug for you and not the start of a regular AF downer, x

Polkadot - you have about 15 minutes to get the stick in correctly, I know this as I was regularly putting them in wrong, but after many attempts would get it right and hey presto, the machine would start flashing to say it was doing what it needed to. You then remove the stick when it tells you too (or if it has switched off, just remove the stick before you turn it on) and it will then say what state your fertility is in - most likely just one bar meaning low at the start.

Unusually this month I got a peak on CD12 and it stopped asking me for sticks on CD17, but it is normally later than that for me.

All this talk of illness is making me feel ill!! All in my head but might be worth a sickie .........
Dizzybuff - how long has your DS been going to the childminder? It's horrible leaving them when they cry but generally 5 minutes later they are happy as larry. Only thing we found was DS would cry when I left at childminders, then she turned round and said 'she couldn't cope with him' so I was heartbroken. To cut a long story short - it was her not him (as should have been suspected:mad:) and we moved him to a nursery. Had many sleepless nights and lots of guilt but turns out he loves nursery a lot more and I don't think he ever cried when I dropped him off apart from once or twice. He's quite advanced for his age (obviously!) and I think he prefers the stimulation he gets at nursery with more people to look after him and more friends to play with.
Now he goes to a friend who childminds and he really enjoys that too - being very MSE it was cheaper that way! He has been friends with her kids since birth and often cries when we come to pick him up!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway the moral of my long post is .... he's probably perfectly happy and just trying it on with you (they do that a lot don't they?:rotfl:) but it may also be worth looking at other options.
