red great to hear from you and know thinks are ticking along nicely! Yey you! :j

I'm still dying a slow miserable swine flu related death! Think the lady we were meant to be getting dog from is going to tell us one of the dogs is preggers! NIGHTMARE timing. We've only been waiting 18mths! Typical! :rotfl:

    Afternoon everyone
I was wondering if i would be able to join?
I came off my pill in February. Found out i was pregnant in May but at 7 1/2 weeks i had a miscarriage. Started trying again after and found out i was pregnant again a couple of weeks ago and i joined the pregnancy thread but unfortunaly on sunday i started having brown discharge (sorry if tmi) went to the early pregancy clinic on monday and had a scan and they said they could see my pregnancy sac but no baby so booked me in for a scan in 2weeks 19th but on tuesday whilst at work i started bleeding, so i went into the doctors for an emergency appointment and doctor said that it prob the beginning of it and will happen in the next 24hours which it did. still recovering from it all. am just resting atm
    So hope i can join?
  • Oh Laura I'm so sorry :( Take care of yourself and if you need to vent/chat/ramble, there are loads of ladies on here who will listen and some who will sadly share your experience (((hugs)))

Hey redstar :hello: Glad you're ok and doing well (despite your OH, men are a nightmare at times and they have the cheek to say us women are difficult!)

And twinklie - sorry about the swineflu :( and the pg dog... Quick snowboard question :D - do you know anything about Zell am See and Kaprun in Austria? They seem to be the cheapest ones we've seen so far and opinions are more than welcome ;)

  • I was moaning about tired I felt last week and he said 'well, you shouldn't yet - not until the end'! Isn't it great that he's suddenly a medical expert! I pointed out that actually exhaustion is a sign in the first trimester, but I'm sure he thinks I'm making it up!

Oh, SNAP! Thank you for that, i don't mean to sound mean but i'm a little glad my OH is not just being horrible on purpose but thereare others just like him. Mine doesn't understand why i feel so tired - me, i'm never normally tired and will be up til 2am and up again at 8am and be as lively as anything. Now i fall asleep 3-4 times a day for short naps (i'm lucky i am a sahm so that i am very thankful for) and have to be in bed by 10pm :o

I have begged him time and time again to read up on the symptoms of the first trimester because he just keeps saying i am making excuses to get out of housework, food shopping or any other general things - it drives me mad that the house is not spotless but i just can't muster up the energy to do much at all and he moans like crazy about it

He has had a good ol' whinge at the timing they have given for the scan tomorrow and his night shift but he has agreed (finally :T) to come with me so that has made me feel better - he'll probably moan that he is so tired all the way there but i know if any bad news comes he'll be my rock and i'll be greatful for him being there ;)

I am feeling a bit more positive though, so thank you for all your kind words! Fingers crossed the bleeding is nothing to worry about :o

I'll keep everything crossed for you - I think it just doesen't seem real to a lot of guys this early on, I think it takes seeing scans or feeling movement before it really hits home for many of them.

Course if they could take a share of the nausea and exhaustion them i'm sure it would feel real far sooner huh!!
  • I'm so pleased he's going with you - seeing the baby on the monitor definitely affected my husband last time. I think the problem is that they're very literal some times - they have to see to really believe, so while we know what we're going through, it can be a bit harder for them until there's something to see.
Anyway it's been lovely popping in to see you all - hi Twinkle and Bitzer :hello:and I'll leave you all in peace.... for now!
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)

Bitzer I know quite a few people that have been to Zell am See and have never heard a bad word about it. The snow was good and the people friendly. Not heard of the other place.

I have been to Soll and found Austria excellent. However, the food is odd to say the least so unless your already self catering or in a chalet - I would most certainly opt for self catering. We saw soup on the menu once and had croutons floating in oil!! And that was one of the less odd menu items. :rotfl: We were in a catered hotel.

I second both of those sentimets - good news elle, glad your OH is going to go with you :T

And ta very much twinklie-its still in the planning stages, if I get a bfp this month (which will likely coincide with the freezing over of hell) then it may go out the window (or get a last minute job in december) as I'll be too far along. However, if its a bfn this month, I'm going for sure :)
