Aw, i know - poor Ronnie. I can't believe we are nattering about 'Enders, haha!

I just can't believe the goings on with Stacey...actually i can as i have a close relative with schizsophrenia and a really good friend who had to be sectioned with bipolar after going through some crazy times. I think Lacey (who plays Stacey) is fab! I was never a fan of hers in the beginning (or any soap actor in fact) but that girl is really growing as a talented actress. I keep watching just for that story line...even OH who hates Eastenders is getting a bit hooked on the story line of Jordan's mum's murder, lol.

Haha I know what we like, it is good though!! I think lacey is fab she plays the part so well, OH watches it with me and admits he does like it,

    Hi ladies,

Hope you don't mind me posting here, but I wondered if any of you use online charts for your temperatures? I've just bought Taking Charge of Your Fertility and plan to use it more to NOT get pregant. I've looked at Fertility Friend on here, but most other people's charts seems to be in Celcius and my thermometer only does Farenheit, so I wondered if there was an alternative to FF that you could recommend?

    Thanks!

I use FF I am sure you can do it in both, they do recommend you don't use it for not getting pregnant though

It is possible but i wouldn't completely rely on charting as protection. I used that method after having my daughter - as i was breastfeeding and not having any periods (along with so much advice from some websites i now don't trust) i thought, hey i can't get pregnant. Whoops, guess what, i did, and before i knew it i was 14wks preg  I ended up having a termination as due to the emergancy c-section i'd had just a few months before, the doctor seriously advised against having another so quickly as apparently it would make the next labour extremely risky  so i had to deal with the trauma having a termination that i really really did not want :(

If the problem is you don't want to take a pill, have a injection or implant then i'd suggest the copper coil - don't go for the merena as that is hormone based i believe , but the copper one is generally ok and problem free ;)

I'll be back on the coil once i have my second child.

Thanks for the advice.. Don't plan to totally rely on charts, but have just come off the pill after 12 years on it and we probably will TTC this time next year, so want to get a grip on my cycles before we do TTC. Will stick to condoms around fertile time, or just "abstain" (I hate that word).

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
    Evening all.

(((hugs))) to ellie-belle and good luck for tomorrow, I'm glad your bloke's going along and that you seem to understand him well.

Welcome to the board Lauralou, and (((hugs))) for all the hard times you've been through.

Courgette - sorry you are still poorly, is it really just an ear infection? I've luckily never had one so no idea they could be so bad.

Well I'm nearing the end of AF now and been so busy with work I've hardly had time to think about TTC so the waiting is easier. Been getting up every day at 5:30 to travel for just over 3 hours to get to work. 3 hours back in the evening doing work on the train. Then home to pick up work emails (just going through tonights - had 28) and print off work to take back with me in the morning...

OH is just making me my dinner then its bedtime soon! I'm really glad this is not my fertile week cos we'd have no chance!

He's been doing lots of exercise today and when he got out of the shower called "Maddie"...."I think I forgot to wash my hair" :rotfl:I said if it was wet it'd be ok, but he insisted on me smelling it for him. Luckily it smelt yummy! I think he is great practice for when we have a 3 year old :D
Proud to be a moneysaver!

I think in that case using it to get to grips with your natural cycles is a good idea and stick to condoms around fertile times as that'll allow your cycle to return to normal with no troubles from annoying contraceptives that send your cycles loopy :p.

Just don't make my mistake, if you really don't want children yet use condoms always - or just be prepared in the slim chance it does happen while charting. Good luck though! ;)

    Welcome to all the newbies!

MG Ellie I hope everything goes ok tomorrow for you and so pleased your oh has seen sense and is going with you. I can't ever imagine going through that on my own whether it be good or bad news. I've never been pg so can't really comment from personal experience but have read a lot of women have spotting/light periods around their normal af time. If you're 8.5 weeks this could be the case?

Nm123 fertility friend can use either celsius or farenheit. It has a default setting but you can change to either. Even existing charts that you view you can just click to view it in the opposite for comparison. Hope that helps.

Anyone watching Never Mind the Buzzcocks? The welsh guy is hillarious, anyone know who he is? I think i have seen him on Michael McIntyre's show before. I don't usually like this show (i'm a Mock the Week fan) but there is a good group on there. Is the Mighty Boosh guy there to stay? I love him too - he is so weird and oddly wonderful!

Host or ''Welsh Guy'' is Rod Guilbert, sorry i answered that one myself, lol! They should make him permanent, better than Amstel, even though Amstel was good too!
