Trying For a Baby III

Ha ha ha....yeah, I think oddly the more you can do to increase your confidence levels the less likely you are to hurt yourself. Mines my lid. As long as I have my helmet on I'm really confident. But without it I can hardly stand on a board because I'm terrified of killing myself. I've seen a few nasty people v's tree accidents (a few fatal) and people vs rock....not a chance I'm willing to take.
So I strongly advise you to wear a helmet if you ever go on a snowboarding holiday as well. Not to mention the people collisions or the number of run away snowboards I've witnessed over the years! It's frightening.
I'm really hoping I get this job...get to go on a snowboarding holiday and then get pregnant. That would be awesome. I think it could be another reason why we've not dtd this month....I want to focus on the job without the emotion surrounding a pregnancy. Don't think my tiny little brain could take it!!Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Totally, its all about having the balls to do it! Considering I've only just learned to board (and only just learned to swim too) I'm figuring I've got a bit more confidence to gain yet! I will take the advice about a helmet too, though part of my job is studying brain injuries so I see nasty stuff too (not yet people vs rock though!)
I hope you get the job too, maybe use it as a focus point then dtd when you fancy - not necessarily when the OPK says so! Maybe sod's law will act on your behalfI'm thinking I want to get half-decent and confident with my boarding before I get pg so I can pick it up after without needing a refresher. And maybe then a little holiday away would go down well (and coerce a grandparent to come to babysit maybe :rotfl:)Well that's the hope anyways
Never argue with an idiot, he just brings you down to his level and beats you with experience.0 -
Ha ha ha...we've already decided ours is being born then strapped on. Babies were made to bounce right??? :rotfl: Nah the kids that ride scare the life out of me. They're so good and REALLY have no fear! Well worrying when you see the parents trying to keep up!

Well.......I've had sore legs and been really tired all week. Sore legs haven't been as bad the last two days so decided it must have been a result of stripping spare room last week.......in fact I was so sure there was no way I was pg that I had 2 (pretty small) glasses of wine.
Just got up and did my test......within 60 seconds another line appeared!!! It's pink but definitely very clerarly there.....even OH could see it without his specs lol
Now I feel really really stupid for having that wine! OH has been reassuring me saying it wasn't much but I still cant believe what a plonka I was!!!
Going on hols tomorrow am so a sober week in Kefalonia for me now! Got another test to take with me so I can check again during week lol
Congratsdont worry about the wine
I had a sobr holiday in Ayia Napa lol

Thanks girls....I'm going to take my last cheapie test away with me to test halfway through the week and then do a clear blue digital when I get back.....keep checking test to make sure that line is still there lol!
I expect to find a few of you ready to join me on the pregnancy thread when i get back!Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
Gill - congratulations:T:T:j:j Here's to a healthy 9 months:beer:
Smartie - try not to worry, easy to say than done I'm sure. Maybe havingsomething else to focus on will be a good thing.
Bitzer - good to see you got your PMA back. I totally understand - that CD1 is always hard and I think it's better to accept the emotions until they're out of your system - hopefully that part doesn't take too long for anyone.
Twinklie - you say you're a wuss - all those reasons plus even normal falling down are why I don't want to try skiing let alone snowboarding! I'm a huge wuss about pain.
I'm having a very lazy day today - I'm not going into details as I really should be ashamed of my laziness! I just popped out for a few bits and treated myself - to Yorkshire tea:D I usually have Tescos-own decaf at home - how sad is it that a good quality cup of tea is my treat?!:D I'm on my own all weekend as OH went to his parents to help out after yesterday's news (she died before he got there which is sad).
It's very quiet on here, hope you're all enjoying the long weekend.0 -

Thanks Twinklie. She was a wonderful woman and it is sad for her family, but the way it has happened is better than it dragging on, she'd lived on her own up to now but was starting to need more help and had had a couple of falls. I really wish we'd been able to give her another great-grandchild before she died.
I burnt my hand making tea and it still stings. I've decided that putting my hands in a bowl of hot soapy water won't help!:D Also had a bowl of ice cream for medicinal purposes!0
