Thanks mishkanorman, my sister also said the same thing. I just don't want to get my hopes up or anything as my cycles have been all over the place since coming off of the pill six months ago. As hard as it will be I'm just going to wait an see what the next week brings.

My CBFM has put ov at today and said if we conceive this cycle then due date would be 10th April, working on the assumption that majority of babies are late and dates subject to change etc that could mean possibly either my very best friend's bday 27th april (although she sadly died 12 years ago) or my Mum's 29th april. I think I would be very very emotional if it were my friend's bday. I still miss her so terribly and what better way to ease her abscence than a baby with the same bday. It really would feel like an extra special gift.

*IF* I was to get pg this cycle due date would be around DS's bday. Don't know if he would be happy or not:confused:

It would be lovely if you had a baby on your friends bday :)

Yep I think so too Smartie. She was such an amazing person who was so full of life and she is missed still by hundreds. It would just kind of feel like a part of her really if that makes sense at all in some weird way!

How old is your DS? There's a month between my nephews, one is april foolsaabby and the other just missed the "devil child birthday" polkadot as he came on 05/06/06 despite SIL trying to hold onto him until the 6th! :rotfl: 4 years between them though but they get on quite well and like having birthdays close as it means 2 parties to look forward to! It's a shame they didn't hav the younger one a year earlier as could have had a joint 18th and 21st!

    DS is 13:eek:

So will be 14 if a baby arrives!!

I would never of planned a big age gap. TBH I don't want to have a baby when DS reaches 16/17. I've spent all these years bringing a child up and finally get my freedom back.... and then have to do it all over again!!!:rotfl:

Ah but that's not a bad age gap though, DS old enough not to be threatened by the attention new baby gets and old enough to be able to be a bit more involved, although I think that would probably be more a girl thing than boy!
I was round at my friend's house the other day and she had another friend round who had a 15 week old baby and a 15 and 11 year old and she said this one was by far the easiest! Mainly because she was relaxed about it all and doesn't worry if he's not crawling by such and such or walking or talking by whenever because she said they all get there at their own pace. He was a very chilled out baby and I guess her being more relaxed about it all has to have an influence.
Another friend that tried for 2 years to have her little girl is also a very easy going relaxed mum and her daughter is good!

I'm feeling unexpectedly emotional today. Tis my eldest daughters 9th birthday (the little one is nearly 7) and I've just been uploading the pics I took of her opening her pressies this morning before school. Its got me casting my mind back over the past decade and thinking about just how quickly the time has gone. I was only 19 when I had my eldest and everyone around us predicted doom and gloom but I'm so very proud of how my girls have turned out thus far and I simply adore being a mum. I'm feeling a strange mixture of happiness and a little sadness, I guess days like today serve to reinforce how I'd love to have another child so very, very much. But anyway I think I must be a bit tired or else in a funny old mood, off to get an after school surprise ready for amy big girl. x

Kelinik, just re-read what you posted yesterday and all I've got to say is don't worry hun. It didn't sound like whinge. A lot of people said the same about my SIL when she had her first child at 15. Her eldest is also 9 now. She absolutely dotes on her kids (she had another at 20) and loves them so very much, but I know thats is children wise for her. She's said to me a few times she don't want another one.

It's understandable you feel a mixture of sadness and happiness. Your babies are growing up, and sometimes it seems to be so quickly that it happens.

    Hi all :D

    OK, first things first.........

    CONGRATULATIONS LILDEVIL!!!!!

That's the same strength of line I got with my DD :D

becs - that'd be lovely if you conceive this month! It'd be extra special to have a baby around your best friend or mum's bday, and even if it wasn't the exact day of your best friend's birthday it would still bring some happiness around the time. And April babies are great :D

I have some weird tenderness on the left hand side of my lower abdomen, just above the groin  I had some (not too bad) stabbing pains there a couple of days ago.....could this have anything to do with my body preparing for ov? I can but hope  TBH I think I'm getting a little obsessed with ov-ing, because it's taking so long to get there! On CD24 today, and can't help but be envious of the lucky ladies that have 26-32 day cycles.....I'm so far away! *sigh*

Oh well, I've bottled my Rose and used some of those foil things you have around the neck of the bottle - that's cheered me up alot! :D

Kelinik, don't worry, it didn't read that bad to me and we all have days like that! Just hope you're feeling a bit more positive today, x :o

Nunnygirl, do you want to swap OHs? Your man always seems to be cooking for you - I'm so jealous! ;)

I feel guilty for killing the thread last night - I didn't know I have such power :rotfl:
