I have a feeling this will be a long post, so apologies in advance and I'll try not to waffle too much!
Lildevil - so sorry to read your news, take your time to grieve, and remember your time will come ((((hugs))))
((((Hugs)))) for Catwoman too, hope you're feeling less sore today and are resting lots.
Emmzy - sorry to call your girl kitty a boy! I think after all the effort in raising the little cutie you should keep [STRIKE]him[/STRIKE] her:D. Do you have any more pics?
Polkadot - what a rubbish doctor. Considering how many people have depression or other mental illness there really should be a more consistent approach from GPs, unfortunately there's a hug difference in the standard of support from different GPs.
Snuggle - I have to test when I get home which is 5 or later, and I quite often forget to do it straight away! I tell myself that's why I get so many negatives and not that I just don't OV!:D
Madmac - are you lurking? Hope you're OK.
My maternity pay would be 6 weeks at 90%, then up to 39 weeks at SMP then nothing for final 3 months. I think that's the minimum legal requirement? I'm saving like mad to use for stretching out my maternity leave, so that's one of those blessings in disguise whenever AF arrives:rolleyes: at least thats how I convince PMA to come back each time!
You may all think I'm a little mad, but I used to live in Kendal until 10 years ago and my parents have recently moved from there (to be near me which I love!:D). They have left a static caravan up there which me and OH stayed in this weekend so I still have easy access! I absolutely loved staying in the caravan it just went too fast:rolleyes:
I'm on CD5 today, I decided to resume ov testing and to take up temping this month so placed my order friday evening and had my "present" yesterday. So I took my first temperature this morning which I know will be useless because I had a really shocking night's sleep (had a nightmare:eek: then was too hot to get back to sleep then my brain slowly woke up and I tossed and turned for a couple of hours or so:mad:). Fingers crossed I'll sleep better tonight. I now have to go investigate Fertility Friend.
Phew, finished! Baby dust xxxxxxxxxx0 -
Hi CAFCgirl - don't give up hope! I know Becs has said before that she doesn't get positives on the opk tests, you may be the same.
By the way are the opk test the same that I mean when i say ov tests? I'm assuming they are!0 -
Gena Quite a few of my friends parents have static caravans in the lakes...I'm so jealous. They go up there ALL the time. I'd love it. Did you get the obligatory mint cake?Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Actually I did ... but I'm not a massive fan, I only bought it to get change for the car-park! We had massive delicious ice-creams - in case you haven't tried it I recommend Lakes ice-cream flavour Thunder and Lightning. Ooh and a really good fudge shop in Ambleside! I have a sweet tooth!0

Cafc Gena is right I've never had a positive on opk's but I always get my peaks on cbfm and have had blood tests which confirm I do ov on the days cbfm says so. Don't give up hope but I do not what you mean about running out of steam. We tried SMEP again this month or rather started to, I didn't ov until CD16 so DH had run out of steam by then so ended up bd'ing a pathetic twice in the 5 day fertile period. I just don't know what we're going to do as he never seems to have any energy for it these days. He has given up alchohol (well more or less) but still won't make an effort with his diet. He stays up late watching rubbish on tv so is constantly tired! Sorry rant over!
Gena lucky you, my mum and dad are just about to move 400 miles away from us! They barely come to visit now and are only 35 miles away so no chance when they're that far away. They're planning on having moved by xmas so I asked if they would come to us for xmas this year, we've never done xmas as always gone to parents or my brother's last year. The reply I got was "well we'll be in scotland by then so I don't think we could be bothered!" Direct quote!0 -
Oh Becs how awful that they don't make the effort! Maybe they don't see how their words/actions affect you?
And how frustrating with your OH! I guess different times of the day aren't possible? My favourite time is early evening assuming we're on our own:D.0 -
Thanks Gena My bro lives in Scotland as well with his family which is where parents are moving to. We were up visiting them recently and we were talking about how often parents visit and he was genuinely shocked that they vist him more than me when he lives 400 miles away. The even go within a mile of us on the way back from weekends and things and won't even stop for a cuppa! I think my mum's given up on us giving her grandchildren which is why she is ok about moving. Before I met DH and was living on my own I was depresed and lonely, having moved to an area where I didn't know anyone. She suggested I go to see a counsellor which I did and one of the things the counsellor said was I should tell my mum how hurtful it is that she never makes the effort to visit. AT the time my bro was still living down here as well and she just said it was jealousy because she saw him every day. She still doesn't get it that it's not about how often she sees him in comparrison to me it's just I would like her to make a bit more effort with me. I know my nephews hold the appeal of seeing my bro and that's fine but I've said all I would like is for her to spend some quality time with us every 3-4 months. When she does come they get here at about 11.00-12.00, have lunch and then she's itching to get away by 4.00pm. Oh hark at me! Looks like the blues have got to me too! What is it with us all this month, it's summer, the weather is lovely and we should all be feeling cheery but don't think any of us are.
As for trying different times of day well we did try this month only because it had been such a complete failure that day of ov I made sure we bd'd that morning! Hence us getting twice this month! Oh I really hope for a miracle this cycle so don't have to worry about it or I shall be searching my spam box for the little blue tablets!0 -
I'm feeling much better today, although I had to get up fairly early as when I phoned for an appointment with my GP at 8.50 the only one I could get was at 9.30, so I had to rush to get up and take the dogs for a quick walk before going there!! I was still a bit shaky from the anaesthetic then!
I think that now that the D&C is over it gives more finality to the mc and I can move on a bit better now IYSWIM0 -
Hugs for everyone who needs them everyone seems sad on here these days! Im happy... As can be for someone with bloody pig flu I feel like Ive been beaten up all over and I have a horrible cough but it hurts to cough!! But Im still smiling ... until AF arrives again probably
lol@ checking email for blue pills, the herbal ones on ebay work quite well I bought some for a laugh and spiked OHs coffee one day. He was so confused bless him kept looking down at it like !!!!!! is he playing at lol Once I told him it was my fault I got "punished" appropriately :rotfl:
Hope everyone starts to feel better soon I dont like upset people I never know what to say thats why I stay quiet when everyones posting bad news, Its not that I dont care I just cant think of anything to say thats worthwhile!
