Right, December is my OH's 40th and it's our 2yr wedding anniversary as well. We've had a pretty tough year and I really really wanna treat him. Sooo I'm going to take him to the lakes for the weekend (his fav place). However, I really really want to spoil him and can't decide on an accommodation budget! What should I spend on accommodation? I want him to KNOW I'm going all out to spoil him!

Going for a full romantic get away! Help me...because everything I like is quite expensive but I don't know if I should just go for it or be more moneysaving about it!!! But then you're only 40 once. And after the wedding fiasco when none of his friends turned up to our wedding and his family were....a let down, I want to make sure he's away from home to celebrate and feel special!
We love the Lakes:D:D We had our honeymoon there:DV MSE and we love it:D:D:D Although we did have a 2nd honeymoon a few months later in Greece:o:D
Anyways, where about in the Lakes are you thinking of??? If you want to be near Windermere, I can recommend this hotel http://www.woodlands-windermere.co.uk/ we had our 1st anniversary here and the rooms were fab! we've even had a flier posted to us this morning with reduced room rates...will hav a look tonight & let you know what they are if you're interested(assuming they're not on the website!). If you want a bit more into the hills kinda thing, we stayed here http://www.langdale.co.uk/for our honeymoon, was fab and very extravagant for us:D And if you want a bit more secluded have a look at hotels in Dungeon Ghyll, it's this big *snaps fingers* we stopped for a drink there once but would love to stay at the pub or the little houses next to it:D:D Told you I loved the Lakes;)

LilDevil...hope you're ok and you find out whas going on soon, have you tried phoning the docs again?!!

I'm on 2dpo today and after this mornings toilet visit I think I'm quite hopeful, aren't I always though:rolleyes::D I had some cm which was quite thick & creamy and in the middle was a splodge of pink mixed in.....implantation possibly?!!? I do hope so, not googled yet coz I'm sure some article wil burst my bubble:rolleyes::rotfl:
    BTW sorry for the TMI!:o

Ooh, Chester is lovely! I went to uni there and its very pretty (but also really windy as I recall ) That hotel look fab! :T

    Morning all

does anyone else use fertility friend? I have been using it for just under a month and keep getting these messages saying that i only have 6 days left counting down. do you have to pay to keep using it?

I pay for membership there, not very MSE but I use paypal to renew and it converts to dollars for me (plus I use survey money to pay for is, so it is kinda MSE!) I like that I can track all my symptoms and exercise and stuff all in one place. Plus I can add my data from my [STRIKE]bed[/STRIKE] mobile :o

Still spotting - had some of the reddest yet, it's becoming more frequent, and I'm also getting occasional cramps in my stomach too. Why oh why couldn't they book me in today, I've got another day of constant knicker checking before I find out for sure what's going on. DH is being all optimistic, but I just can't manage to feel that way.

Oh lildevil, I hope your OH's optimism pays off and you've got a sticky bean. Good luck honey

As for me, FF reckons I ovulated on saturday now, which makes me 3dpo today and would mean I ov'd on the first day of peak on my cbfm. That kinda makes sense as when I peed on the stick I've never had a blue line appear so fast and so dark! So fingers crossed for this month...

    Good morning ladies.

Oh lil devil, please try and stay sain, it is so tough being left to wonder on your own. I am sending sticky bean dust your way and telling your body to calm down! Take care and stop looking on here, it can only make it worse.

Well i went to the docs last night, and he was lovely but did say it was too early to worry, so sent me home to wait a week. I know it was early, but when i called i wanted an appointment next week anyway, but they said yesterday, and he was standing by the receptionist and remembered me from my mc. SO went along and he was lovely and now i have to try and relax and just wait. CD30 today and 20DPO!!! So patience is needed in the leapard house for now.

Well very sticky bean and baby dust to you all :):)

    Hello everyone...

LL glad your docs appointment went well, sorry you have to wait some more though
LilDevil Hugs is all I have for you :)
Snuggles glad you had a good first day at work...My bubbles are almost gone :jand my belt arrived yesterday...no yeast nutrient though  Still waiting for freecycle lady to come back to me on how many DJ's she has for me.
Becs I'm also using CBFM ( this is my first cycle), I feel very silly just sitting there watching the clock turn over though, so I swish and swipe my bathroom whilst I wait, and I also feel like I passed an exam when I get peak.DF says he knows when she didnt ask for a stick because the bathroom isnt shiny :rotfl:
Im on CD 28 today and she's flashing the little "M" at me. Im guessing she thinks AF is on her way?

I am feeling crampy and I have had a headache since Sunday night (hence Ive been lurking), but I also have some sticky cm which I've never had after OV before  and I'm EXHAUSTED. Ive struggled to keep my eyes open and I keep lying down on my bed at random times thinking "10 minute power nap" and then not waking up for three hours  last night I didnt have supper because I was nauseous. And this morning I had to take all my tablets one at a time because when I tried the handful like normal I gagged. I told DF Im trying to tell myself its all in my head and he said if I have implanted then it is possible I feel symptoms in "mild or occassional" forms-but I cant help thinking Im imagining it. He says he thinks Im pg but he sees a whole different set of symptoms. He says he wont tell me what they are until I get a bfp because he doesnt want me looking for them.
  • Oh Polkadot that sounds promising - fingers crossed for you....

Thanks hun, how are you feeling? Im trying to get my house sorted and its turning into a disaster. We've had friends stuff stored in our garage and they are moving it out now-so I want to turn the garage into a store for all our "crafty bits" and the christmas cupboard and stuff. But because they moved their stuff in when we moved into the house, all our stuff came in the house so Im in the declutter phase now. But the lack of energy is not helping much at all-and I need some new cupboards and things for in the garage which I want to ask for on freecycle-but need to wait until the garage is empty...but I dont want to wait-I want it all now :o

Polka that does sound promising...I wanna know what those symptoms are! ;)

LL being patient is just so hard though isn't it?? Still, sounds like you have a good doctor anyway, which is an amazing find it would seem.

Thanks for the hotel suggestions folks. The Langdale is one I looked at but it is booked up. The Old Dungeon Ghyll is where I spent my childhood!! Ha ha ha, and Langdale campsite (the national trust one) is where my sis met her OH! He was a warden there.

I was looking at these ones last night...let me know what you think.

They only have room 2 available. It's £80 per night. There's was the least chatty informative email. Others say loads more but then...they also cost more! The website implies it's much cheaper than it actually is I've just realised.
