  • oooOOOooo exciting twinklie!! I want one :P
  • Twinklie - I am a real fan of the CBFM and on my 3rd cycle of using it. As long as you are not past day 5 then you should be able to programme straight away and use this month. Have you got sticks and AAA batteries because mine didn't come with them?

It has freed me up to lie-in on the weekends without worrying about temping or anything (has a six-hour window to test).

Every morning my DH wants to know the result. When I get a peak reading I feel like I've passed an exam!

I know lots of people have been put off by the cost but I don't think you can put a price on that BFP!!

Hope you enjoy using it, Nursie. x

Awww thanks guys. I have ordered sticks to come with it and we have a few battery packs lying around. I'll be gutted if I can't use it this cycle though. I'll cry like a baby.

Right, December is my OH's 40th and it's our 2yr wedding anniversary as well. We've had a pretty tough year and I really really wanna treat him. Sooo I'm going to take him to the lakes for the weekend (his fav place). However, I really really want to spoil him and can't decide on an accommodation budget! What should I spend on accommodation? I want him to KNOW I'm going all out to spoil him!

Going for a full romantic get away! Help me...because everything I like is quite expensive but I don't know if I should just go for it or be more moneysaving about it!!! But then you're only 40 once. And after the wedding fiasco when none of his friends turned up to our wedding and his family were....a let down, I want to make sure he's away from home to celebrate and feel special!

The main activity in my mind though is dtd and I doubt we'll leave the room much (which is why I want it to be lush)....iyswim!!

NiceNursie glad I'm not the only one with the CBFM. I get so excited during the few minutes it's testing just waiting to see if it's going to be a high or a peak! It's like a little Christmas present! :rotfl:

Twinklie even Martin says MSE isn't about spending the least amount you can it's about getting what you really want for the least amount you can! As you say you're only 40 once and if you have the funds to enable you to do it then do so! Who knows what the future holds and it's always good to have some really happy memories if and when the going gets tough! We splurged on our honeymoon and don't regret a penny of it, 2 years later and I still can't stop smiling about the fabulous hotels we went to or meals we ahd etc. Just wish we could do it every year!:rotfl:For serious romantic getaways can highly recommend Monachyle Mhor in Scotland! Seriously lush room especially the bathroom we had and the food was something to die for! Beautiful remote location for some nice country walks and they have a lovely labrador who likes to go with you!

That would be ace becs...but due to me being a teacher we can't take any time off its going to be 4th Dec - 6th Dec and thats just a tad too far. Looks amazing though.

I know lots of the places I've seen are like £100 plus per night (some are ridiculously priced) which is a lot to us. Should I just go for it? What does everyone think? I need to do it sooner rather than later though because things are starting to get booked up!

I'm researching honeymoon locations at the mo and have found Shearings to do amazing deals. Usually they're attached to old people coach trips (which are actually amazing value for money!) but you can just pay for accommodation too. We're currently looking at a place in the Cairngorms for £175 each for 4 nights all inclusive. You can try laterooms too but might be a bit early for that!

    Morning all

Still spotting - had some of the reddest yet, it's becoming more frequent, and I'm also getting occasional cramps in my stomach too. Why oh why couldn't they book me in today, I've got another day of constant knicker checking before I find out for sure what's going on. DH is being all optimistic, but I just can't manage to feel that way.
