Just thought I'd post that link. A good option for anyone considering a more eco friendly approach when AF catches you up...I know one or 2 people said they have been caught out by leaks...so heres an option just in case.

Evening ladies, got back from hols last weekend but its taken me this long to get back online, just haven't stopped!

Looks like I've missed a few ups and downs, congrats to those who have had fab news in the last couple of weeks and enormous (((((((((hugs))))))))) to those having a tough time. We're all here for you if you need us xxx

AF rocked up on Thursday so I need to take my AE off the testing list, nothing for justmarried06 this month boo hiss. We've not been officially trying for very long, more like just mooching along and not making any special effort as it were, but found out yesterday one of my oldest and closest friends has had her first scan and is 3 months pg. It's wonderful news, and I'm so thrilled for her and her DH but it's got to me a bit more than expected which has surprised me TBH I honestly thought I was happy to just wait and see what happens in time. Oh well, looks like OH will be having some fun months coming up if nothing else - even he turned round and said 'well obviously we're not doing it often enough'!!!!!

    MM xx

    Hi Moley,

I think it is as simple as that for most men - especially those who don't want to know the ins and outs of ttc (puts them off) although there are some whose partners take a lot of interest in OV and our POAS timings, I think we've a few OHs on here who don't feel that way! I know if I offered to show him a poas post test my DH would think "urgh there's wee on there!"

So he thinks that doing it more will work... hey maybe he has a point, perhaps the science of trying does sometimes get in the way of nature taking its course!!

Enough musing from me for now...

Hello Moleymoo good to have you back. Hope your holiday was restful?

May I please have a vent? We went to the birthday party today and it was lovely-except pg friend kept having a dig at me. She's 24 weeks pregnant-which is where I would have been had I not mc'd. Everytime someone asked me about ttc, she quipped about me being ready, and wondering if I shouldnt wait until hers is born-that should be enough healing time. Someone asked me about the specialist and I explained I have my first app this month. She chipped in how she cant believe Im paying pvt so soon. I said I wasn't and I was doing it through NHS. Then she kept on about how "when she worked in the fertility clinic" (she was a receptionist) and how her friend is an endometriologist (is there even such a thing?) and she was doing her own tests and treatment because her "FHsomething or another" was too high and so NHS would never look at her so if NHS will treat me then Im probably not a "viable candidate for pregnancy".
Anyway, DS' godparents just arrived so think I'll go vent with her.
  • OMG Polkadot - what a nerve! Perhaps pregnancy doesn't suit her, because I can't believe someone could be so insensitive - I would have been hard pressed not to have been rude back - how dare she!
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)

Polka hu well done on restraining yourself, that just goes above and byond the realms of adequate polite conversation.
Sorry if I miss the point, but preggers or not that doesnt give her the right to belittle your journey to a healthy pregnancy and OH MY GOD how dare she accuse you of NOT BEING VIABLE!!!!

Catw0man, I'm so, so sorry to read your news - I know it was suspected but never makes it easier to take. Absolutely horrible for you to go through again, hope you are both taking care of each other and can take time to grieve, xx

CAFCGirl, a hug for you too, hope you are doing OK - just try to remember the happy times, x

My thoughts are with you both.

Oh what a horrible time around here at the moment. Hugs to Catw0man and Cafc. Catw0man you sound like you're being very brave, i really hope it will be 3rd time lucky for you as you say.
Cafc I lost my grandad when i was very young and that was bad enough so to have had him there as long as you have must be even harder. Huge hugs to you. Maybe he's making way in the family for a new little one to join you.
Polka what a horrible day for you too! I think she may have meant Endochrinologist, they will test FSH which is one of your reproductive hormones. It's an Endochrinologist I have to see for the pituitary tumour, they're specialists in the pituitary and endocrine (hormones to you and I) areas. I've had my FSH checked after they discovered the tumour, as far as I am aware if tehre is a problem with it then it can usually be counteracted with the relevant meds as in my case.
