Sorry to hear your sad news. I know you don't know what to do with yourself at times, I find it better to keep busy and distract myself by doing housework etc.
My sympathies go out to you.

yeah ive already started on cleaning anything i can get my hands on, just glad im not at work today.... just break into tears sporadically....
but the one thing im taking from it is that he was at home, in his own space, and just fell away, no horrible medical treatment no drawn out process, just how he wanted to go basically....just feel bad for my sister, it was her birthday yesterday as well......Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
CAFCGirl lots of hugs hun. Do you mind if I ask if your sister saw grandad yesterday? My mum passed away the day after my then boyfriends birthday, but she'd spent the day with us and it was a really happy day-I like to remember that day instead:)0

Gena Yey glad to have a cycle buddy!!
CAFCgirl So sorry to hear about your granddad...I was devastated when mine died. My granddad was most inconsiderate and past on during my GCSE's as well so as we are Irish Catholic we had the body at home before the funeral and 2 people have to stay with the body at all times as a mark of respect. I spent my time revising with him and moaning that he could have bloody waited! I think it was that oddly enough that helped me to deal with it all. Hope you find your way of coming to terms with the shock as soon as time will allow. ((((HUGS))))Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

no my sister lives in the north and my grandad on the of London. None of us really live near each other.....
Thing that keeps me smiling is just how much fun I had with him, he had a wicked sense of humour and was generous beyond words, so Im kinding refusing to focus on the end, just the middle....
Thanks for all the kinds words everyone.... just makes me appreciate every day I have with my family even more, and how family is the thing that keeps me going, the family I've got and the family I will have....
