got a trip to London this week - have been characteristically relaxed about many of the risks of PG, including swine flu up to now but the latest guidance seems to have ramped up the risk level... what do ppl think? I don't have to go, but it's a meeting I'd like to be part of. My natural reaction is just to think I'll be fine and go but I guess I should start being a bit more responsible?!?MFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!

ah fluck more swine flu talk!
I'm really in a pickle about working or not
up at 6am for car boot - my dad text me by accident at 6am and i text him straight back to say morning which i think scared the hell out of him!
he said he was preparing me for early mornings lol!
didn't get much at car boot except maybe a cold cos it piddled it down!
got a brand new changing mat for 30p and a scarf for MIL for 30p!
OH did better - goin to spend the day putting stuff on ebay to clear some room! He got pipped on a M&P highchair for £2
spent 4hrs walking about - my bl00dy hips are killing me¬ might be my last one as my bump was really tight afterwards!
Have noticed a big difference in blood sugars after breakfast when I go car boot - it must be the exercise. They are always really good on a Sunday.
hope everyone is OK.
Tink - hope everything goes well tonight!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
SS, yeah we plan to try it out in our boot but just thought..even if it is massive and takes up alot of our boot space,it might not be as bad a problem as I thought cos Im planning on walking alot with baby in the pram (weather permitting of course) so for most of the car journeys I'll just clip the carseat onto the pram chassis (just for school run really,so baby won't be stuck in carseat for too long at a time)love my little man he is amazing :j0

SS - yes, taxis shouldn't be a problem once in London but I couldn't really avoid the train in and out of London at peak time (a 30-min ride and it's usually packed)MFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!

Could you go in earlier ML, or teleconference? I missed a conference in Parma recently and someone set up Skype for me so I could hear what was going on in some of the sessions.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Glam I don't know how you do it getting up for the car boots! I am up at 6 during the week for work and that's hard enough when I HAVE to get up!!0

SS - I think that's probably the most sensible plan... boss can go in for the meeting and I can join by telecon... I guess am just a bit stubborn and like to avoid claiming any special arrangements/making a fuss but actually it's no big deal just to arrange a telecon. Will miss lunch with dad and coffee with a friend too - maybe that's more of a loss!!MFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!

ML- [STRIKE]I'd probably go but make sure I avoided the Tube. Does it have to be peak when you get the train?[/STRIKE] Scrap what I said, SS's idea of a telecon is way better- why didn't I think of that!
Helen- the second hand buggy sounds really good. Are you going to see it today?
Glam- is there anyway you can ask to work in an office, not on the frontline IYKWIM? I'm getting quite obsessive with the old alcohol hand gel and sanitiser spray at work, I figure it's the best I can do at the moment.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
