Noooooo. Not everyone leaves us just because they've had a baby you know! We like it when the nice ones stay around to encourage us on our way, and bring us news of what newborn life is like (or for the oldtimers here remind us of what we've let ourselves in for again).
I hope everything goes well for you and for FIL too.0 -

Hey ladies.
Hope you are all well and having a good day.
I picked up the stuff from Mothercare, still not exactly perfect and trying to decide whether to just have them come and pick it up or to demand a large amount of compensation.
The store manager I spoke to yesterday told me to park at their underground loading bay and they would load up the car for me. When I got there, no-one answered my knock on the door and there was no lift or anything, so I had to walk all the way round and up loads of stairs to get to the shop through the town. Then, when I finally got there the bloke I was supposed to meet was at another store for the day. Assistant found out where the stuff was - on the same level as the car - and said she would go and get it. When I asked if they were going to take it to the car for me or if she wanted me to come down with her to get it she made me walk all the way around and down again to get back to my car, wouldn't let me get in their staff lift at all. AT 7 MONTHS PREGNANT!!!
I ended up walking through town in tears, furious at myself for being such a prat and angry with them for being so incompetent. Still no sorry for all the hassle. I pointed out all the marks to her but she was young and probably not in a position to do anything about it. In fact, she only really seemed concerned with telling me how useless Customer Services are, most unprofessional really.
I came home to ring Customer Services. Asked to speak to a manager as I am about to demand HUGE compensation and was told they had all left bang on 5.30pm, 6 mins previously.
By the time I ring again tomorrow morning at 8am I will have built up an even bigger head of steam and they will be lucky if their ears don't blister through the phone.
Whilst, obviously, I wouldn't dream of telling any of you what to do, I would suggest that you read my posts before buying anything from Mothercare in the future and consider whether you want to pay their high prices when it doesn't even guarantee you top quality or good service. I hope that they will resolve this to my satisfaction and that I will in future be happy to buy from them again, but at the moment I would rather go back to Argos (and that is saying something).
Thank you all for your support whilst I have been going through all this for the last 8 weeks, and I hope you never have the problems I have.
