  • Jillie, that is some big time nesting! You must have more energy than me!

Nursery is finished for us, just need to make up the cot nearer the time, collect moses basket and buy a new mattress and get everything sorted for hospital bag. No big purchases left which is good as I am brassic!

Jenny, same here, lots of pushing out and rolling over going on!

Have I seen it mentioned before on here by somebody that you can get hold of past medical notes? I really want details of my other pregnancies, just to compare with this one really, can I get hold of them and where? Anyone know? I googled it but didn't find anything of any use.

Under access to medical records act you can get access to your records but they may charge you for it. Lot of work pulling them out, then someone has to sit with you while you look at them. if you want copies of them then it's more. We charge £10 for computer printouts and anything up to £50 for copies of paper records.

Jillie, Harley - not even going to post my list of stuff to do. Got soooooooooooooo much to do but it looks like OH will be around for first few months at least which is kind of :(:j:(:j

    1 week left in work!

tia - sending get better soon to your LO. Any names yet?

No news from HypnoNu - am thinking of you hun!

My friend who refused induction on Tuesday, had waters broken at 6pm last night and ended up having emergency section and needed blood transfusion!

i did alright at the weekend but i wasnt painting loads. i 've told DH i will do what i can. i find the painting quite therapeutic.
no climbing ladders though. i only do what i can reach. and if i;m on my knees that should keep baby in the head down position

my mum has found in a shop near her, loads of baby blankets, sheets etc really cheap. so she is posting me a starter bundle and the rest will come in october

imagine next month i should have a baby.... eek!!!

Anyone know if I can have peanuts when she is born (and i am talking about within minutes) if I intend to breastfeed. I am dying for some honey roast peanuts and cashew nuts and am wondering whether to buy any tomorrow for my hospital bag. Guessing they would probably frown upon me taking in a bottle of pimms and a can of lemonade:o

Do you have a family history of peanut allergies? Why are you avoiding them while pregnant? I thought the latest advice (even for those with allergies) was to eat nuts during pregnancy, as this lessens rather than increases the risk of the baby having one.

I want some pate, nice bread and a bottle of red wine (to share) when mine is out. But maybe not in hospital. OH says he'll add some smelly cheese too for a bit more variety, which will be nice but its the pate I've missed most!
  • I've eaten loads of nuts throughout! This morning I just had to have peanut butter and practically licked it off the toast!

You can get pre-made Pimms in a can Harley, you could always sneak one of those in!

    Really neat bump Helen!

I always thought it made more sense to have some to give baby immunity but I'm following the only guidelines I've seen which is to avoid.
I don't have any allergies, hayfever, asthma or excema but unfortunately I don't know about babys dad. Fairly sure he's not allergic but don't know about the rest and since he won't speak to me or acknowledge babys existance I can't ask.

I don't know why I can't stop thinking about peanuts, I do love them but can often go weeks without any and as for alcohol I probably had about 10 units in the whole of last year but as soon as I know I can't have any its all I can think about.

I bet, as soon as I'm able to have it all I won't want it. Wouldn't that be typical?

Harley, I'm the same, I've never been a big drinker but the past few weeks I just LOVE the taste of lager!

Am I the only one allowing a small amount of alcohol? When I have it I only have 1 pint of lager shandy (so half a pint of lager) or 1 glass of wine. Ive had a glass of red wine tonight actually and I really enjoyed it and didn't want more (I wouldn't have had more anyway)
