Thanks all. Waiting for my dad to phone which he said he would this morning (well, his morning) so can book flights. Good point about the notes, Nicki, thanks. Will definitely buy travel insurance of course (don't usually bother for short trips, but obviously with baby could be vital). Time difference makes it really hard to coordinate things, but right now we're just trying to sort out getting over there as soon as possible.

Good luck to various sections/inductions coming up...thanks for news of SS's baby earlier. Will reschedule scan as I know what date I will be home.

Ok I rang them back cos I couldnt wait anymore

(my docs is weird its in two buildings)

And the receptionist I spoke to rang the other building, spoke to them, was told that as my results came back ok she was allowed to tell me I have a slight water infection and I have to take Nitrofurantoin.

I am pleased its just a water infection

You would think I would know I had one though wouldnt you? lol

Has anyone had to take that before?

    hi everyone

well went to drop in centre. made sure we were there for 9.30 so we'd be one of the first in queue cos i know drop in centres you can be waiting for ages. and we needed to be back for the pram/pushcahir 11-1pm. so go there. no-one else there. turns out today is the first day of the drop in centre for the midwife.
anyway...tested urine- all clear. BP had gone dwn to 120/80 ... said the 80 bit is a little high but as we are seeing consultant on monday wait and see what he/she says. avisd if i get any sudden headaches or flashing lights to call delivery suite immediately. not to wait till mon. also if baby movements slow down to call hospital. heard baby hb again!!

so we were back home for 10am. tidied all the front room to make space for delivery and waited and waited. tried logging onnet but for some reason was taking ages so have rebooted it all... and checked my email form tesco. i thought i had booked 11-1pm delivery slot. but nope i did 1-3pm. lol!! could have been to asda etc early now i will have to wait in. bet they arrive at 2.55pm!!

Yeah, very recently and my infection was excrutiating! My pee was full of blood and i hated it!

Took those tablets and they started working in hours!

Beware though they make your wee go illuminous yellow :D, or can make it go dark orange/brown i think.

Off for my scan now, hope i've drank enough water, had just under 2 pints, will take a bottle with me too.

    Hi everyone! :)

Today i am 9 weeks, the baby is now officially a Fetus and no longer and Embryo! :j:beer:

Aaaand, i have my booking in appointment today :D
The midwife left me a message on my answerphone and OH made me call her right back :rotfl:
So she's coming round in about an hour and a half.

What am i to expect with the booking in appointment? I want to be prepared :o
I already have my family medical history (i got mum to text it all to me lol)

    Anything else she'll do?

And would it be weird if i offered her a cup of tea? :p

Im getting so hungry all the time recently, yesterday i ate so much. But OH said its ok as some days i rarely eat at all so it balances out :)

thats pretty much the booking in appointment. yours and your OH medical history - include his mum, dad, brother, sister, any medical problems at all. mention anything no matter how small is is.
will prob give you an NHS guide to pregnancy. its like a text book but there is some good info in ot. and you should get your first bounty pack as well.
may book your 'first' scan as well to check your dates if this has not been booked already.

think that is everything we did... feels so long ago now.....

    and enjoy it!

i'd offer a cuppa as well... she can only say no
