    Morning ladies ,

LOLLY - Watch your fingers! I keep doing things like that too though, I need to come with a hazard warning at the minute.

Speedy easy labour vibes to all those in need, we seem to be having a mass baby week this week. Welcome to all the newbies too, Ive got no chance of catching up as havent been on for a few days and have probably missed loads. Really must try harder to keep up.

Ive rang in sick today as Ive been waddling more and more the last few days and my hips are killing but last night Ive put my back out. It took me nearly 10 mins to try and put my knickers on this morning so I gave up and rang in instead. Going to try and speak to my midwife later on as I know their at my local health centre today.

Boogelly you aint the only one facing probs getting dressed i have to sit on the bed with my legs up and feet facing each other its only way i can reach my legs without it being really painfull i then have to put on said garments pull them as far up my legs as they will allow in that position then stand up and finish off its not very lady like but it works ;-)

For those of you with kids already, did the baby seem to know daddy straight away or not?

i missed that little bit of your post chick sorry. My answer would be yes both of my two seemed to settle really quickly with their dad after they were born he talked to them lots once they were out (although he never paid much attention when they were in my belly) so they must have recognised his voice. My new OH is constanly talking to my bump so hopefully number three will instantly know who daddy is :-)

Thats what I was like lolly. Perched on the edge of the spare bed trying to hoopla my pants around my feet! If OH had walked in he'd have wet himself laughing. Im only 25 weeks so thought Id have a few more weeks before things were this difficult.

I would try and cheer you up and say it gets better chick but it doesnt ive been reduced to letting my daughter put my shoes on for me once or twice that was a strange experience especially as i had just finished helping DS put his shoes on lol :-)

Ive got a mental image of you all sat in a line taking it in turns putting each others shoes on now :rotfl:

Saying about will baby knows dads voice, we decided at weekend to do the nursery in a dr seuss theme as they've always been my favourite books and we wanted to steer away from the obvious nursery choices (my OH is a bit alternative in his approach!) and we bought this book http://www.amazon.co.uk/Oh-Baby-Places-Youll-Go/dp/0679885722/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1249458248&sr=8-1 Its meant to be read to baby while their still in the womb and introduces the rhyming element of dr seuss. A lot of people have commented their partners read it to the bump and their babies seemed to respond to it once they were born too :D

Shame we didnt know about that earlier, think now might be a bit late for us to start! I'm sure bellyboy will know OH's voice, i just hope they'll both be ok when i'm stuck in recovery....

Hypno Im sure they'll know dads voice anyway, even without talking directly to bump whenever its just the two of you it'll be your voices they recognise. Hopefully you'll be out of recovery really soon too, did you say you get a bit of skin to skin while their sewing you back up too before he's passed to dad?

Yeah they'll just check his airways, etc as soon as he comes out and then he should be on me within a minute or 2, so skin to skin with me first, which i'm happy about, I need my cuddles!
