Glam - I wasn't sure, TBH. I thought they could do OTC stuff like Gaviscon or stool softener? wm - can you not go through your MW? *shrug*
Thats even worse aless, one line you can call between 9-10am, thats always busy or no one answers. Not having a good time. What happened to being pregnant and happy, don't want to be a moany, moany miserable pregnant woman. Want to glow and be smiley.:D
Some Russian customer has emailed me complaining that i did not include certain documentation in the courier package i sent last week. So i emailed back saying that i was 33 weeks pregnant and my brain is failing and i simply forgot. He has returned my email profusely apologising for being mean and wishing me good health and delivery. Now does that make me horrible for actually being quite happy that i have perturbed the Russian Bloke0 -
Always
Am i right in thinking you are at St georges as well !! , It's just have scan next week and last time just before i went in they asked they asked me to go to the loo , so now i wondering if i need a full bladder or not !! Thank you.
Hi Lou, no am at St Helier. I never got told I needed a full bladder at anything other than my 12 week scan. Mind you, with probs from the combined test, I've had a consultant (absolutely brilliant one may I add!) doing the scans so maybe they are less fussy than sonographers? Although I did stupidly have a big drink before last weeks scan and to get him to move round to look at the facial bones, there was a lot of prodding, and I very nearly had an empty bladder!!!0 -
God, mine does this all the time! Really catches my breath when he moves right up and I think to myself 'If you're up there where the hell are my internal organs?'
LOL! Mine were very nearly in the toilet!
If the scan last week was anything to go by and also the movements I feel, I think he has his back out most of the time so when he moves, my stomach gets really stretched. Also I think I hardly feel him some days because he must be kicking inwards - does that sound right?! Also I am only just under 23 weeks and we know from the scan that he is right at the bottom of the growth charts for my dates so they must only be gentle kicks now. I did start feeling him about 16 weeks which I think was quite early tho.
mmm, think I messed up the quote button there, oops!
Mine is head down, to the right of my spine and his back is normally at my front - I can see him rolling over cos my belly goes really tight and lumpy!Glam - I wasn't sure, TBH. I thought they could do OTC stuff like Gaviscon or stool softener? Can you not just go to Boots and buy that stuff anyways??
They can - well, they can but they still have to get a GP to do the prescription unless they are prescribers and there aren't many out there. I think WM is saying she needs something stronger than gaviscon so would need GP
Right I am going home to fall into bed with my OH(to go to sleep of course u mucky pups!)
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
That is disgusting and not in line with government targets that say patients have to be offered an appointment within 48 hours AND have the option to book up to 4 weeks in advance.
Ring back and if you don't get anywhere, ask for the practice manager and complain.
We have appointments available every day!
Aless - I'm not sure if the MW's can authorise anything stronger.
I know Glam, have only had call to need appointment once before with this practise. When it turned out i had thrush. Triage nurse rang me back, gave me appointment with nurse. Nurse could not prescribe anything, i then had to go back at 5 to see a doctor. Two visits to get one prescription. Fine for someone who is young and still mobile, but what if you're infirm or old? I am dreading the day that DS gets ill.0 -
Think it's because Gaviscon isn't strong enough for WM - she wants something more hardcore!
Yes thats it Fitzio. Think last time a doctor at another practise gave me Maalox. But have googled it and there are different ideas about it being ok in pregnancy. Will have to see what this doctor comes up with.0 -
Have a nice afternoon then Glam - sweet dreams!!0

Lucky you, Glam! Actually, I shouldn't talk as I also get to jet off work right after lunch...but it's far less restful in that I get to escort DH home from a tooth extraction!
