lol Fitz, yep iron does that. My levels are surprisingly good, i've been badly anaemic a few times and thought i would be now, but mw said my levels are v.v.good.0
-
I had no idea what was causing it at first until DH said "has it only happened since you started taking the iron tablets?". I googled it and found that it was quite common.
My leg still hurts from the cramp this morning. I am popping in and out of the kitchen to do batches of dishes as painting is finished so getting it back to normal. Someone coming to look at dishwasher tomorrow so figured I had better empty it, but I am getting back/hip/bum/leg pain so keep taking breaks! I am such a moaner!!! lol.0 -
I am back from my hols and no chance of catching up but i can see there has been some lovely babies born congrats everyone :j. I will read the birth stories later.
I was in a great mood today still had holiday vibes until some moron backed straight into me in the supermarket car park there wasn't much damage but it was the shock of it. I had just got in the car and hadn't got my seat belt on yet, they hit my car so hard i knocked my tummy on the stearing wheel. I went so hot and bothered i nearly cried because of the shock i have never had a bump before. What made me so mad was they didn't even say sorry and drove off even though they saw me getting out of the car to inspect the damage
I had my first person touch my bump the other day it was really odd i didn't know what to do. It was my father in law. I walked in his house and he went straight for it asking how the baby was and rubbing my tum. i moved away a bit embarrassed. We are very close and he does stuff all the time like play fights with me, puts me in head locks, throws ice cubes down my top etc strange i know but it's just a laugh and he can't even have a joke with his other daughter in law so makes up for it with me. It's like i am his daughter. All the same i found this a bit arkward. I told my hubby and even he said yuk that's gross lol I hope he doesn't say anything to him though i will be so embarrassed.
Pj's i love them and would also wear them all the time. I almost do. most often than not they are on by 5pm they are just so comfy on my tum. Reguarding hosptial. I took a pair to wear after the birth but had to really wear either a nightie or just a normal top and nothing on my bottom half as i had a Catheter in for 24 hrs after the birth. I was in hospital for 5 days and couldn't really get out of bed without help so after the catheter was out i wore pj bottoms and a normal top so i looked half dressed lol All my sleepwear was non maternity. This is my signature!0 -
Thanks Glam, I appreciate it.
Has anyone else had to have an appt with a doctor because they are small? I;m 149cms (4'10/11") and have size 3/4 feet and I have to go at the end of the month for a check up to make sure I'm big enough to deliver. a bit concerned as I have this appt through but not one for my 16 wk appt which is 2 weeks earlier (or should be). Luckily I work in a hospital so was able to ask what this appt was for as nothing had been mentioned about it, I thought it was a late 16 wk until I showed it to a MW who asked why it was with a doc not the normal clinic.
Not too concerned as I'm sure all will be fine, I just don't realise how small I am until it comes to things like this. Just hope the baby takes aftre me and not OH as he is 6'1" and was rather large when he was born!!Boots: £107.xx on AC :j

elastigirl - my FIL tried to touch my bump and I moved away - it was bit weird for me. Yet when we went to OH's work do back in May, random guys were coming up and rubbing my tummy and I didn't mind
Probably helped that they were professional footballers
Hope you are OK after ur bump - don't forget to mention it to MW if you are worried. My card door banged against my bump when I was on the way to GTT so asked MW to have a look and listen. There is lots of padding there so try not to worry.
Glad u had a nice holiday!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

I'm 5ft 1 and have size 3/4 feet - no one has mentioned anything about being too small to deliver. In fact they didn't even measure me or weigh me!
I'm sure there will be nothing to worry about, I wouldn't worry about your OH being 6 1 and your babys weight.
I weighed 7lbs 7oz and OH weighed 5lbs and is now 5ft 11! In fact our little one is measuring around 5lbs now at 32 weeks so is likely to take after me not him!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

snap i am 4'10 hubby 6 ft and i was consultant let because of this. All the way through first pg they were concerned i was too small to give birth also because of the height difference between us and they thougth ds was going to be big. They kept saying prepare for a section but let me try first. i did end up having an EMCS, this time around i am consultant led again because of this and cos of section. I have an apt at 34 wks at the hospital to go through a few things. This is my signature!0 -
Wow - you are all small fries here! I am an average 5'5" or thereabouts. I used to have size 5/6 feet, except I had to buy size 7s last week due to the swelling!
A couple of ladies at my work touch my bump occasionally. Makes me slightly embarrassed as I am trying to be treated normally etc, but I know they mean well and are just excited so it doesn't bother me in the way I know it bothers other people.
Elastigirl - hope you are ok after your bump. How rude of the other driver to drive off. Was there any damage to your car or is it ok? You must have got a fright. I am sure everything is ok with the baby though unless you feel any pain.0 -
There is just some scuffs and scratches to my car no big dints thankfully. It was just the shock really i was so mad. It's a wonder i could drive home. I tried to get their reg but they sped off so quick. I did see it was a woman though and her car was an old banger so she wouldn't have cared.
I have my 20 wk scan this week and can't wait to see bubs again i haven't even heard the heartbeat yet! it isnt done here in case they can't find it and scare the women. I am on the look out for a cheap but good pram that lies flat. I keep getting out bid on ebay. i can't believe what they are going for second hand. I already have a britax travel system from ds and a zia but the travel system is the type with the car seat is really heavy for me and is too big for my car and the zia doesn't face me and is more like a stoller. I want one that lie's flat as with having a winter baby and having to go to and from school with my ds which it quite a walk i think that one that lie's flat would be better. So if anyone sees any good bargains let me know. This is my signature!0 -
I'm probably going to miss out a lot of stuff because I'm having computer problems (is it just this site I wonder? If everyone's losing posts?)
Glam, my mother had GD (retrospective diagnosis) and I was born by emergency C-section at 32 weeks - was 5 1/2lbs then. She had it again with my brother, who was well over 3lbs at 26 weeks. You'll be fine.
Elastigirl, if you're worried call the hospital and they'll have a look at you and a listen to the little one. Did you get a registration number? Is it worth calling the supermarket to see if they have CCTV in the carpark?
Hypno and Tia - be careful if you have to clean. Don't overdo it, either of you.
I'm really disturbed by the black poo conversation. But if it makes anyone feel any better about their weird poo I'm currently having what appears to be the Final Evacuation before things kick off. I feel utterly horrible and keep having to run off OMGRIGHTNOW. I'm still leaking bloody mucus, it's utterly repulsive.
I'm hoping all this activity means it's not just another false alarm. I'm so sick of thinking this is it and then it isn't.
May not get on again tonight - goodnight everyone and good luck!Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
