Dumb question time.....
You should pack PJs for after the birth in your hospital bag. Should these be maternity PJs or just normal ones? I was going to order some maternity ones, but not sure what to expect re my bump as baby won't be in there anymore!!! Would a larger size normal PJs be ok, or do you think it's better to have maternity ones with room for a bump?:o:confused::o
Thanks!
I didn't have mat PJ's, so I just packed to ones I have been wearing throughout my preg - which are just in a larger size. My bump was still there - about the same size as I was at 20 weeks  Just as long as they are comfy, you'll be OK!0 -
Sugar - at least the end is in sight! Laughing at your OH singing about the old lady and the fly! Bet the midwife was giving you strange looks! ha ha.
She loves it when he sings to her. It's adorable. She's not as impressed by my singing, but that's quite understandable. I hope she gets his musical talent and my hair.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Have had my midwife out to do my booking in appointment - how many scans and blood tests!:eek: and looks like ill need the anti D jab too - thrilled.
Anyway I've made a change to my due date - I am 9 weeks today according to my midwife which makes my due date approximately March 6th - now jsut waiting on my first scan letter and scan to confirm it.
Ok I am catching up the best I can lol
LOL tell me about it, I had my booking appointment on thursday and I had my bloods taken, and my god, I had a massive bubble like thing in my arm afterwards, and now I have two massive bruises, they are yellow and green now lol
I am just waiting for my scan date letter as well.
Thanks for that jha lol I was panicing there, cos although I feel sick sometimes, I havent actually been sick, and it worries me when people say "oh its ok its a good thing when you are sick"
And yeah my boobies are killing as well, I am just over 8 weeks, I dont want them to grow anymore lol, I was already a DD before I got pregnant, I dont want them any bigger.
I've been thinking about a water birth as well, I am going to look into it some more.
NMS - I love the photos of Liam, sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute.
I am sorry you didnt get the birth you wanted with Liam, and I am sorry BF didnt work out as well as you wanted, my mam wanted to BF with me, but had no help from the midwife in doing it, so she ended up bottle feeding as well.
fitz - is there anyway you can ask for a payment break holiday? or change mortgage to interest only?
Skinty - Lilia is gorgeous!
YAY congrats TrigglesI love the name Connor
Ok I have read through all the posts from the last time I was on 29th July, and how did I miss Nikki's birth? lol I saw Triggles, then only saw Nikki had had baby when the list was updated?
So congrats to Niknaknoo and baby boy (born on my birthday, yay)

Just a quick update to let you all know I had Connor Finlay on Friday 31 July at 2343 hrs. He was 8lb 1oz. We're both fine and are home from hospital. Haven't had time to catch up on pages but will try to do so in the next few days.
Labour vibes to any that need them !
Congratulations!!!!! :j:j:j
Fitzio, I get leg cramps and they are horrid! Never point your toes in bed! And it does seem to hurt for a few days afterwards, when you get one try and get the muscle moving and get OH rubbing it hard!
Harley, no, my excuse is that if I'm on here I'm not doing housework and so following my consultants orders! So I won't tell you off so nah!
Congratulations Niknaknoo!!! :j:j:j
GISI, I missed you!! Did you have a good time?
Fitzio, I just got 2 pair primark specials that fit over my bump, and 2 little vest tops cos the shirts don't close over my boobs and bump! I think it will work well with BF.
NMS, thats my point! You do feel better after a shower and in clothes. Why folk want to walk about in jammies and unbrushed hair all day I don't know? Unless they have a real excuse. Oh and the woman who thought nothing of walking out the bathroom with a hopsital towel round her bump... pity it didn't cover her !!!!! It's a LONG corridor and during visiting times!
Sugar, Tuesday won't be long hun. I'd just sit tight and relax till then, with my feet up, like I'm doing now (though my feet are not up).0 -
Sami, it's her little nephew
Did I mention that my one and only vein collapsed on Wednesday night? They tried 4 times to get blood from it but nothing. Then a doctor came in and tried a vein that runs down my left arm near my elbow, I warned him, but he tried and got nothing (I got a huge bruise) and finally they had to get a butterfly needle and syringe and get it from my hand, so in total I have 3 huge bruises!0 -
Well, I'm back.
Feel really sick, heartburn is annoying and back and hips hurt. More star jumps going on in there too. When I told my mum just now it took her a full 3 mins to stop laughing, not sure why but I couldn't see the funny side:rolleyes:
I've been to the tip and got rid of a load of junk that didn't sell at the boot sale a few weeks back. Cleared all the nappy boxes from the spare room (I was saving them in case I needed extra storage for the things that went into the loft) and been to asda. Also done the dishwasher and about to do some more washing but then that is it. I am sitting down with a cuppa and the paper and hopefully this nasty ickky feeling will go away.
Congrats to Triggles and NikNak on your baby boys. Glad things went well, look forward to pics and stories when you have time.
Good to see you back GISI, hope you had a nice time.
Tia - glad you are being good and not doing anything but I haven't yet been given those orders. Plus, if I don't do it it won't get done. and the mess and general untidiness of it all is gradually doing my head in.
