XMAS - Ask a pharmacist - I have a feeling it's a no. They are just paracetamol anyway so why not try them with a nice homemade honey and lemon drink?

Lolly, I don't know hun, best speak to your chemist about what you can take.

A strong coffee helps me when I have a cough, the caffeine opens up the bronchiole tubes and the heat is soothing. Alternate it with some chilled drinks. Hope you feel better soon.

I had to post that because my battery was about to die and I didn't want to lose it again!

I posted around 11am and my internet crashed and I couldn't be bothered to retype.

Got up at 6am, 4hrs around car boot - I was very good and just bought one pair of scratch mitts for a whole 10p!
Got stuff to put on ebay now.

Went to bed at 11.30am and had a good 2hrs kip to make up for getting up so early. The only problem is the 4hrs walking and then rest seized my hips up really bad, OH was helping me out of bed and it hurt that much I thought if he pulls anymore I might end up paralysed or something. :o

Harley - send me some of your nesting vibes! I just can't be bothered yet!
Must do garage Tuesday though and then OH can move some stuff into there on Weds once he has job stuff out the way.

NMS - thank you so much for the additions to the list.

I probably should have put headband instead if hairband.

I too will be getting dressed as soon as I can although most of my slobby comfy clothes do look like PJ's - I hate being in hospital as it is and I think it makes you feel better if you are dressed.

I will look out for a cheapie dressing gown - all mine are big towel robes!

Right, going to take some photos for eBay.

They should have told you to phone your GP (or out of hours as it's weekend) they are dealing with at risk people including pregnant women.

In Wigan, they were sending the medications out by taxi to people in evening and weekends. Ring your local OOH service and see what they suggest. Where are you?

Xmas - thinking about it a cough is normally the one thing you don't get with swine flu! Please ring your OOH service - these helplines are not being manned by professionals (mainly students) hence why at risk people are supposed to be referred on to GP.

Can u check your temperature? DO u have any other symptoms?

Im in dudley/tipton west mids right on the border i have tried to get through to primary care and to the two centres listed as collection points but no one is answering and the nearest collection point in oldbury has now closed for the day. they did advise me to contact my midwife/doctor first thing in the morning but NHs direct nurse seemed to think i was ok for today unless my temperature suddenly rockets or i develope other symptoms. To be honest i feel fine just think they are being over cautious as i am pregnant.

I will talk to my Ex when he drops the kids off later see if he will go and fetch it for me tomorrow when he finishes work my OH is doing 14hr days in rugby for the next 3 days so he wont be able to go at all.

Even though the collection points have closed, the out of hours doctors can get it to you. Ring your GP practice and there will be a recorded message telling u how to contact a GP over the weekend.
Tell them you have been given code but only symptom is cough - they will tell you if you need it or not and can sort out delivery if you can't get there.

Lil Miss - a GP would be able to tell if it was a chest infection simply by listening to her chest. Flu is different to a chest infection, it's colds and flu that are so similar. We have had a problem where we've treated someone for Swine Flu and they've not had it so get worse because they actually need antibiotics. If she at least starts the anti-biotics it's a start. With her having COPD she would be classed as at risk so GP can deal with

I feel like the Swine Flu Queen :D
