    Slippers
    Socks
    Disposable Knickers
    Hairband - hair brush???
    RLT
    Calcium
Arnica - the 3 above - I know I was on a drip to be induced and then on other drugs , but I was advised to only take water - I don't know if you would be able to take these - especially the tea!
    Book
MP3 Player - I didn't use anything I took because I was trying to rest whilst I could, and once things become established you won;t have time for these!

    Maternity Pads
    Breast Pads
    Socks
    Knickers
    Nursing Bras
    Comfy Bottoms/T-Shirts
1 x PJ's - you need more bottoms. I went through mine and had to change after only a few hours!

    3 Vests - same
Cardigan - I was asked if we had one a 5am after we had been transfered from delivery to the ward, as he was cold!

    Going Home Outfit
    1 hat
    Scratch Mitts
Nappies x 5 - I would take more. The nurse gave me a few to get me going, but he went through more.

    Vaseline
Sudocrem - although you get another sample in the bounty pack!

    nappy sacks added
upgraded to 5 vests, 5 babygros, 10 nappies (although I read u get some in Bounty Pack) and 2 x PJ's.

    Thanks

ETA - I don't brush my hair ever! It's chin length so I normally scrape fingers through it - hence the hairband to keep it off my face!

I only got one of the pampers packs that have been in all the other bounty packs. It's only one nappy. I would just throw in a full pack!

    Thanks Fitz

Might skip dressing gown - hospitals are always too warm but I'll see if I can find one I like.
Rest added to list - thanks!

I went back through and found lists others had posted a stole things I liked.

Asked OH what he wanted on his list -
    OH - 'Nothing'
Me - 'Um, won't u be bored?' (this is a guy who gets bored after 5mins in a waiting room!)
    OH - 'Nah'
ME - 'Well, I'll pack your DS and charger'
    OH - 'Yeah whatever'

He has just said if it's a Sunday he'll nip to car boot if he gets bored and leave me to it :rotfl:

Sorry, me agian! I thought that - but it went really cold one morning around 4am, I was feeding so wish I had it then. And again on the first morning - I felt a bit self concious of leakage when wondering down for a cup of tea, and could have done with it, just to cover up and make me feel abit better.

    Dumb question time.....

You should pack PJs for after the birth in your hospital bag. Should these be maternity PJs or just normal ones? I was going to order some maternity ones, but not sure what to expect re my bump as baby won't be in there anymore!!! Would a larger size normal PJs be ok, or do you think it's better to have maternity ones with room for a bump?

    :confused::o:confused::o

    Thanks!

I have a dressing gown in my bag, but I've not used it any time I was in.

And also, I plan on getting dressed, in clothes, during the day. Huge difference from the old hospital and the new one is that everyone seems to walk about in PJ's all day in the new one. And they don't brush their hair! In the old one we weren't allowed to. We were encouraged to get dressed unless we were bed bound. Maybe I'm being too judgemental but is it really that hard to brush your hair before going to the dining room? And it was the same ones for breakfast, lunch and dinner with unbrushed hair so not like they had just arrived.

Tia - I got dressed during the day to - just in cargos and a t-shirt, but I wanted to feel normal. I think I was the only one - everyone else was wondering around in full on pj, slippers, dressing gowns - all day!!!

    Congratulations Niknak and Triggles!

Triggles, those are two of my favourite boys' names.

Fairydawn - if you're lurking I'm thinking of you.

Appropriate labour/sticky/feel better/nasty pox on your ex vibes as necessary.

    Update:

We're back from the hospital - amniotic fluid seems no lower than on Friday, and baby's fine - she had a snooze in the middle of the monitoring so the midwife jiggled my belly like it was a bowl of custard. Deeply uncomfortable - and had no effect, so Husband started singing the song about the old lady who swallowed the fly and the Bellyfrog immediately started dancing in response.

Infant miscreant has us booked in at 8am Tuesday morning, unless she makes an earlier appearance which the midwife thinks is doubtful. We're having a nice lunch now and then going on a tourist tram around the city before checking our route for Tuesday. Although there is a direct tram from 50m from our place to 50m from the hospital, on Monday morning this route will be closed for maintenance. Timing is perfect!

Carla - I'm the same - I still haven't made it over there, but I keep finding time to catch up on here :o:p
