    Night Glam.

Tia - are you going to Irvine or RAH? I have never been in hospital overnight before. Do they have dining rooms? I just assumed you ate in your bed. Starting to get a bit funny about the whole hospital thing! I hate shared showers etc.

    night glam! sleep well.

i dont think ive ate MORE than i before i was pregnant, but perhaps it has changed from healthy to not-so-healthy which is a problem. lol
was talking bout this to my sister and mum today, sister annoyed me by sayin that she thought i do eat more now because im always last to finish meals when with her. i pointed out it may be due to the fact that i cant/dont eat fast, and the rest of my family eat speedily! i think i talk too much instead of eating.lol.

Irvine was the old one, the new one crosshouse.

In the old one food was delivered to the day room and you were encouraged to eat at the table, unless you were in the single rooms where it was delivered to your room.

The new one there is a dining room that serves food 8-10am breakfast, 12-2pm lunch and 5-7pm dinner. You go in, pick what you want, eat it there or take it to your room. If you are bedbound an auxillary will come round, take your order and bring you it on a tray, but only if you are bedbound.

I do like the dining room of the new one, food is much better, but nobody uses that day room and your really just sat in your room on your tod. All rooms are single except 2 doubles and 2 4 bed wards and those are for the ones who deliver, stay 4 hours and go home. If you are in overnight you get a single room. The one time I was in a double, they told me nobody else would be admitted to the other bed. Which is great cos nobody is snoring all night, but the bloody patient line TV buzzes!!! Actually that remionds me, I want to complian to patient line about that! Every patient line thing buzzes! And if you don't pay to use it, it stays on all night too! You turn it off an dit comes back on after 5mins!:mad::mad:

Wow, that was a rant! :o

FIL was in hospital last year before he passed away with cancer, and it affected his brain and caused dementia like behaviour. MIL kept putting more and more credit in the Patientline for him, but he was totally confused, and kept phoning in the middle of the night and running out of credit. It was costing her a fortune to keep topping it up!! Don't think it was particularly easy for confused patients to use.

OH was born in Irvine, but I didn't know Crosshouse had maternity. Glad the food is a bit better anyway!

Oh MM, I'm having a section on Thursday! I have questions!

Were you sick during it? Did you get gas pain afterwards? Were you sick afterwards? (can you tell I'm starting to panic???)
