ETA - I don't brush my hair ever! It's chin length so I normally scrape fingers through it - hence the hairband to keep it off my face!

I do agree that the placenta is an amazing bit of kit biologically speaking. Folk tend to underestimate the sheer size of it.

I guess that's why people can lose a stone when they give birth even though baby might only weigh half of that! I didn't expect it to be so big and OH refused to look. He'll get a shock in 6 weeks time :p

OH and I are talking names again

Think we are set on Jack as first name but have decided we want first and middle initial to be either

    J.D
    J.J
    J.P

so that we can call him by his initials when he's a toddler as we think it's really cute. That way he can be baby Jack, and then be say JD while he's growing up and can then choose whether he's known as Jack or JD.

Don't want Daniel (think that's a bit obvious :p) so.....................................

About the size of a dinner plate yes. Can be slightly larger or slightly smaller though depending on the gestation and how healthy it is.
