Thanks
I got really claustrophobic in the flat and went out for a long walk in a massive strop. Poor Husband was looking really worried and asking why I was mad at him - I don't know how to explain that it's not him; I'm mad because we own too much stuff and I need all of this to be fixed and finished and ready before the baby comes but it won't be and I'm so frustrated I want to break things. And I came home and he isn't here.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Glad it went OK boogellyboo. I had to be monitored earlier in my pregnancy when I spilled boiling water on my bump, and like you they couldn't find the heartbeat for a few minutes which was heartstopping. I'm not sure why the midwives in the labour ward seem to be so poor at doing this causing stress to mums, as my doctor always finds it within 10 seconds at antenatal appointments and they use the same equipment.0

I have cleared the list but not the 'still pregnant' people. Just the "should have" list and the births list when it was getting long.
I did once wonder how many of those on the list actually visited MSE anymore, and looked at quite a few member profiles, and although they don't post on this thread, the majority seem to visit MSE, or at least have in the last couple of months.
I dont post much, im more of a reader, but only because i dont want to get really involved like last time and have something go wrong again. I post more on TTC at the moment, but feel like im stuck in limbo :rotfl:Here's a link Husband just sent me - 24 weeks' worth of this couple's belly pictures. Be warned though, it could be my hormones misbehaving but I'm weeping a little bit over them.
http://www.amusingplanet.com/2009/07/24-weeks-of-pregnancy-in-24-pictures.htmlthey made me teary to, maybe because im a ball of emotions though
 to the story about the woman who is pregnant and keeps getting her kids taken away! Surely something can be done about that?
Well after much panicking as my MS stopped and all my pregnancy symptoms stopped for a few days, the MS is back and in full force! Everytime i've brushed my teeth for the past few days i've been sick. I even start retching when i pick up my toothbrush. Doesn't help that i have a slight phobia of them anyway :rotfl:
I was even throwing up nothing at one point today! I literally had no food in my tummy and still was being sick. My mum called me midway through and she thought i was crying lol!
Anyway enough about my puke. Im 8 weeks tomorrow! Well i hope i am, with my dates i should of been 9 weeks on Wednesday, but early scan stole 9 days from me
Haha, this is a text convo between me and OH
OH- 'I love you too. Cant wait until your 12 weeks, still doesn't seem real x'
ME- 'Well it is, hear me being sick every morning?x'
OH- 'Yeah but im still in the mindset that its not going to happen, seems to good to be true x'
ME- 'Fair enogh. Well when the baby comes out, i hope you belive its oursx'
OH- 'Not if it looks chinese. x' !!!
What?! :rotfl: I love him, but sometimes...0 -
My midwife at the clinic can never find it! It always takes her ages with the little doppler. The one today was the huge machine where you sit in the big comfy armchair with your feet up and they put the two monitors on and a print out comes off. It was funny seeing the black bars on the side everytime she made a movement and the midwife asking if I felt it but still nothing! She even asked me would I like to ring OH so he could hear too but I couldnt get a signal.
It was my first visit to the new St Marys hospital too and its lush! So big and airey and doesnt at all feel like a hospital, looking forward to going for my tour now.Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -

Maybe its my doc who is a star then. Thinking back, when I was pregnant with my DS I didn't see him for the first time until I was 17 weeks pregnant, when he palpated my belly, then put the doppler immediately on the right spot to find the heartbeat without moving it around even a mm. I was so impressed, I thought he was amazing. And he never managed to do exactly that again, though he is pretty quick at finding it nonetheless!0 -
It normally takes my midwife a couple of attempts to find the heart beat but thats mainly because Joey moves around so much and wont stay still. :-) x:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Any ladies that already have a little one, how necessary is a carrycot for the pram? We've bought the streety travel system and the seat unit does lie flat but it doesnt look very cosy. I dont drive so when I go visiting people babies going to be in their quite a while and I dont really want her scrunched up in the carseat all that time. Their selling on ebay for around £65 delivered, is it worth it or should I save the money for something else?Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0

My midwife is pretty good at finding it- first heard it at 13 weeks and she found it straight away then too!
SS- sorry to hear your day is pants. Console yourself in the fact that baby won't even need a nursery for months, as long as he / she has you and OH to give it lots of hugs (sorry if you know the sex, my mind has gone blank but I'm thinking you don't?!).
Those bump pics are amazing. OH took some of me today, but then I realised I had a damp patch on mytop from the washing up and looked a right skank, so we'll have to try again later with a clean top. My bump is nowhere near as pronounced at 26 weeks as the lady on there, but then again I was a lot bigger than her to start so maybe that is why.
My baby is super-active today, has been all day and you can even see my tummy move which I've never noticed before.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0
