I was told to book onto the classes early soon as I was told they get full early. Not done it yet though but might do in a few weeks. Mine was at my booking app at 6 weeks!!

OH passed his test in April and so since then he has been driving [STRIKE]my[/STRIKE] our car. I went away to Australia 1 week after he passed for my sister's wedding and half way through my hol I get the phone call I'd been dreading

"Babe, I've got some bad news, I had a little accident in the car"

Wasn't watching where he was going at a roundabout and drove into the back of the woman in front of him  I wouldn't mind if it was an accident but just not paying attention isn't really good enough!!

    Hi everyone,

I am 34 weeks pregnant with baby No. 4 (have 3 boys already, aged 8, 4 and 2), and have been told that we are having a little pink one this time!

Just after a bit of advice really, I have been to my midwife this morning and I am only measuring 28 weeks pregnant, although I am 34 weeks. Has anyone else had anything like this? I have a growth scan today at 3.40pm, but I am worrying myself sick.

    xx

    Congrats!!

Are you 34 weeks gone by your dating scan or just by your own dates?

I would be now 18 weeks by my "dates" but am actually only 11 weeks!!

    Hi

One of our residents who has just had her LO - was measuring small and was having growth scans but she had no problems. It was SkintChick if you want to read back through her posts.

I had a growth scan last week because I have Gestational Diabetes and there is a risk baby will be big. It was fine though.

Let us know how u get on.

Hi Welcome and congratulations on your little pink bundle!! I have 3 boys (15, 5 and 2) and have been told my latest addition due 31/08 is a pink one aswell!

Did your Midwife give you those numbers based on measuring your bump? If so, I really wouldnt worry too much, that must be the most ridiculous measurment ever! The size of your bump will depend on the way your baby is lying as well as how much fluid you have around the baby, the scan will reasure you I am sure! My Bump started measuring 36 weeks when i was 33 weeks but baby was lying at the front, now baby has moved to the side, I am still measuring 36 weeks at 35 weeks.

Anyway, good luck this afternoon, come back later and let us know how you got on.

My MW has mentioned the classes but has never given me the info nor seemed very urgent about booking Parencraft?! I think last time when she asked me about classes, she mentioned that they are open classes and anyone can just turn up? So confused now...

Well I am back from the cattle market otherwise known as antenatal clinic, what a surprise - BP not being very well behaved. It was borderline at 130/90 so now I have to go to day assessment every other day until I deliver, yuck  the Dr has decided to hold off the meds for now and just see how I go with the monitoring for the time being, I cant see how spending hrs every other day at the DAU is going to help but hey, I'm not a Dr.

Congratulations to NMS on the birth of Liam, sorry to hear you had a few complications but great that you are both doing well now

I wonder how the 2 ladies being induced today are getting on, hopefully they are having short labours with hardly any pain!

Well hugs to anyone that needs one,

ok so brace yourselves....i've got reasonably good news on one hand and i need to have a full on whinge on the other...apologies now for any ranting...

good-ish news first: I had my final scan this morning and my placenta previa still hasn't moved, which is no great surprise, but baby looks good, is still happy as larry in there and using my placenta as a pillow. I also asked her if she could estimate his weight and at 35+6 he's around 5.5lbs so he's doing well! so hopefully by the new c-section date of sometime next week ( i still haven't had anything confirming it) he should be about 6lb....perfect!

Now for my rant, please tell me if I'm being unreasonable. It was my baby shower on Saturday, and it's been planned for months a few friends have been working really hard to sort it out and spend a load of money too on getting bits to decorate the house and food and drinks and making up games and buying little prizes for the games. Now everyone has known when it was for months, and when i ended up in hospital for the third time and they told me i wouldn't be going home again i pretty much begged to be allowed home for a few hours so i could still get to my own baby shower.

But this where i got annoyed, the night before i get call from one of my friends saying that she's going to go shopping in the day now so might not come to the baby shower till 5 or 6 (it started at 4), and on the day of the baby shower she just didn;t turn up and then left me a voicemail about 8.15pm saying that she'd just got home and should she come now? Um...no, it started at 4 and people were just leaving about 8-8.30.

Next another of my friends who was my bridesmaid at my wedding had told me that she couldn't make it to the baby shower because she was going to the theatre that day, but it turns out she actually spent the day shopping with the other friend. This one doesn't surprise me in the slightest as she's always been incredibly self-centered but it's still upsetting.

And then another friend who had said she was coming texted me on the morning of the baby shower and said that instead of coming to the baby shower she was just going to come and see me in the morning and made out like she was doing me a favour by "spreading out my visitors", i text back that i didn't need my visitors spread out but that i'd rather everyone came to the baby shower when it started because otherwise it screws up the games and everything that my other friends had put so much work into organising. she ignored that and came to visit when it suited her anyway.

Now to be honest i just feel really put out by everyone cancelling and just doing whatever they wanted and stuff the fact that they'd agreed to come and that people had put work into making it happen. It's really upset me becuase I never do that to people so why do they bl00dy do it to me???

It's been days now and it's still brewing in me...

    am i being unreasonable?

My midwife didnt mention the classes at my booking appt, I asked her again at my 20 week appt and got told 'You should have booked ages ago, they get full very quickly dont you know?' No actually, I dont know! This is my first baby so Im pretty clueless! If it wasnt for the net and you ladies I would be so lost, I really felt almost abandoned the first few months of my pregnancy.
