Was due to meet one of the girls from my NCT class for lunch today and when I hadn't heard from her, dropped her a quick text to see if she was OK. Turned out she'd had the baby! 2 1/2 weeks early. We'd been talking at class yesterday and she said she hoped she'd finish the course... and said I might not make it til my planned ML date - both of which I laughed off. First babies for both of us so no probs!:rolleyes::o

Fantastic news of course but a bit sobering for the rest of us.:eek:

Ooh, how exciting! When is your ML date, out of interest? I'm really paranaoid about going early. Don't know why really....

Back from the hospital - my doctor looks so dashing in his white coat and suntan... but anyway, the occupant has until Monday to make an appearance and then we're going in after her and. I need to make an appointment at his practice on Friday to confirm the induction, and if I want we can go as early as Friday or over the weekend.

Apparently his receptionist misunderstood when Husband explained the way my contractions feel - she told the doctor that I was having pain all over, hence the full checkup. The nurse poked my poor feet several times, apparently fascinated by the finger dents she was leaving in them.

And now we're home and I'm about to make a "critical before the baby arrives" list. I do like lists - they make me feel much more in control

I met a woman on Sunday who found out she was pg at 23 weeks, had emergency section at 32! 9 weeks of knowing she was pregnant :eek:

Another girl in work did an NMS - finished work on Friday, had baby Sunday AM - still had 4 weeks to go!

My friend is off for a sweep today as she is 3 days over.

Well, I spoke to the lovely MW at the Day Unit who wasn't worried - she said I might just have a bug so to keep drinking plenty and see how I go on. Gonna stay in work as don't feel like driving yet anyway - thank god OH is going to have a chill out night tonight. Means I can relax too.
Been told off for goin 4 hrs without eating - so 8am brekkie to 12pm lunch. so trip to ASDA after work to get some diabetic safe snacks like [STRIKE]cardboard[/STRIKE] Ryvita and equally boring stuff!

Welcome to the newbies - I don't normally moan this much honest

Glam - I usually have a small measure of pretzels (25g) halfway through my morning. Much tastier than Ryvita!

Oh plllllllleeeeeease let me go early, I want this baby at around 38-39 weeks!
27 weeks tommorow-3rd trimester! :eek: 10 weeks till I start eviciton methods!!

Eviction techniques will start in 5 weeks and counting - Preparation (RLT and Calcium) will start as soon as they arrive and P.Massage will start in 2 weeks so I get a good 4 weeks in. Should be nice and stretchy then!
I'll end up doing all this prep and need a c/section anyway :rolleyes:

8 sleeps till induction assessment. I'll cry if they don't do it, seriously.

Should I start taking calcium now? I need more EPO (which hasn't been giving me the runs, cos I've still got it after not taking it for 5 days) and must remember and drink my 3 mugs of RLT (tea bag left in till it's drained, happily, I quite enjoy it).

Lil lady has hicups, right above my pubic bone.

I'm finishing on 28th August, which is 37+4... everyone else in NCT is finishing in the next 2 weeks... I was planning to go right up to 39+4 but was told I was nuts by literally everyone!
