Have been shopping Asda, Boots and Matalan.

Bought some basic white towels in Asda for baby.
Maternity pads, wipes and more nappies in Boots
And large green stripey cushion to go on Rocking Chair and two storage boxes in Matalan

    These but in cream:
    http://www.matalan.co.uk/pws/ProductDetails.ice?ProductID=4945&redirect=true

Are now full of muslins, and baby toiletries. Towels when washed will go in the other.
I'm starting off so organised, but within a week of this baby being born, it will have all gone to pot and be a complete mess.

Love those baskets, WM! They're fab for a fiver. I never think to look in Matalan but might be worth a trip to look at baby stuff.

Sounds like there are some exhausted OH's out there ;). Will have to warn mine what he is in store for.

Had a really lazy day today, but think it's done me good. Did manage to cook chilli from scratch for lunch which used up some tired looking veggies from the fridge and has made enough for a few freezer portions. Having a very lazy tea of pizza, garlic bread and dips :T. Might have a sneaky, very small glass of wine too.

Well back from hospital - had monitoring and a swab taken. My waters have gone, so I'm on countdown for things to start - if not I have to go back at 9:30 tomorrow morning. I didn't have any more trickles while at the hospital, but popped into Mum's on the way home to let her know what's happening. Was sat down for about 1/2 and had a bit of a gushier trickle when I got up to leave - I had to send hubby out to car for a change of underwear :o

I'm at home now - got DS on charge, phone on charge and ipod on charge - all in preparation. I've got the hot water on incase I need/want a bath later and sent hubby out for some cash, magazine, bread and chocolate :D He's also getting a chinese on way back. Still not really felt anything, I thought I felt lower bit of bump tighten for a few seconds, but not pain as yet.

Fingers crossed that things start naturally tonight - I won't be able to use the comfy mid-wifery led room or the birthing pool if I have to be induced.

Oh, and apologies for the queue jumping :j:rotfl:

That's good news NMS! I hope you are ready - can't believe you have just finished up work and it's happening already. Nice to see that not everyone goes overdue though. Fingers crossed that it starts naturally for you soon. Enjoy your Chinese! x

Hey Natalie - hopefully not long for you either :) Yeah, this is my first. I'm going the get the ball out after I've eaten, I'm currently sat on an absorbent mat on the sofa. I'm upset because I had on my nice comfy maternity jeans, and they got wet at mum's house, so I'm going to put on my other mat jeans that I don't really like :p

ETA - Yay Glam - I've got the 3D in cargo, jealous you got yours off free cycle :p

    Oh, hubby's back with food!
