Glam - ouch - can't believe the sugar levels are still not being nice for you! You're right though - it's a good thing they caught it and have you on the insulin! Sorry you're feeling sick - hope you feel better soon.
It was touch and go because we had the usual downing of tools half way through and the inevitable declaration that it was impossible and therefore would not and could not be completed . (This joyful episode happens every single time we have a flat-pack adventure). After looking again he realised he had been reading the instructions wrong and it could in fact be completed after all.

LOL - as WM, myself, and a few others were just discussing not too long ago - flat packs are evil and seem to cause chaos in our house as well! Obviously a male problem - we females just tend to get on with it and get it done. LOL

I finally picked up a plastic box thing (ah, love those technical terms) and put together my "changing station" downstairs. It now lives on the sideboard just outside our living room, and has pullups for DS, nighttime nappies for DS, little teeny newborn nappies for new baby, couple packs of wipes, a container with nappy sacks in it, some sudocreme, and foldup changing mat. I have a smaller one upstairs in DS's room, and a smaller one in our room for the new baby. This way I don't have to trudge upstairs every time I want to do a nappy change, and all the supplies are there. I can just restock it every 2-3 days. I've been meaning to do this for the last couple weeks, but just haven't gotten to it. I also have a spare pair of trousers in it for DS, and a few spare onesies in it for the baby.

I had all my "baby stock" in the bottom of the sideboard and am now getting it all out to organise and put where it will be needed. Wow. Lots of stuff. I need to find an appropriate spot in the kitchen where the cold water steriliser/bottles can go (although I'm breastfeeding, we'll eventually be expressing on one feed per day for DH to do, so I can rest or spend some one-on-one time with DS.

We've been just terrible lately about takeaways - spent way more than we should have (on lots of things to be honest) - but if I remember correctly, we did this just before DS was born as well. We kind of reached a "oh god, I'm just too tired to cook" stage - both of us! And right now, DH is on crutches for the next few days as he has got a nasty ankle sprain. So we're both hobbling around! LOL

Sorry you are not feeling well glam maybe this will give you a giggle:

A discussion we had this morning:

Me: how are we going to work the feeds when the baby is born love, i think it might need feeding every few hours?
OH: i can do them no problem
Me: but wont you be tired and i am coming around to the idea of breastfeeding?
OH: babies dont need feeds through the night they sleep through:eek::eek:
Me: i think they need feeding through the night love too
    OH: Oh dear:rotfl:

He is really knowelegable about bottle feeding and weaning, nappy changing sleeping bathing etc just seems to be a bit behind on the breast feeding / frequency info

jha - LOL - your poor OH was shocked, was he? I guess that's one of those things we just assume that they know about. DS didn't sleep through the night until he was 18 months old!!!! Hopefully, that won't be the case for yours though!

    jha - that is funny!!!!!!!

My OH has already said night feeds and changes are my job cos if he's working he doesn't want to be tired and he'll wear ear plugs so he doesn't wake up. He has kindly offered to do it Saturday and Sunday AM so I can have a lie-in.

I think he thinks that being on mat leave will just be like having an extended holiday!!!!

I know he'll change when baby comes along though he's a big softie really!!!

XMAS - OMG is he OK?!!!!! Silly boy - it will have probably scared him just as much as you though.
