My OH has already said night feeds and changes are my job cos if he's working he doesn't want to be tired and he'll wear ear plugs so he doesn't wake up. He has kindly offered to do it Saturday and Sunday AM so I can have a lie-in.
This was kind of my plan with hubby doing a feed here and there throughout the day to let me have a rest because he is working after all.
Every day i mention a snippet of information to him so its not all a big shock:rotfl:e.g.
Me: I need to get some cheap shower curtains for the bed incase my waters go at home / in bed and i think the first part of labour untill the contractons every 5 mins will be done at home love
OH: No surley not you will be in hospital
Me: I dont think so
OH: Oh no how am i supposed to cope:eek::rolleyes:
I have only learnt the info from the internet and especially this forum - me thinks i need to buy him a father to be book or something:o
Edit: xmaslolly - hope he is ok.
glam - lovely bump

OMG my DS just almost got run over Stupid stupid Stupid Child he just ran out didnt even look. Ive sent him to bed and grounded him for the rest of the week. My heart just stopped jesus christ give me strength. i will have to go and talk to him in abit but i am just to angry and upset at the moment !!!
i did this when i was 8 or 9, out with my dad. i walked out between 2 parked cars and never seen/heard car coming. luckily it stopped in time. my dad shouted as me as well, but looking back it was prob more relief than anything. (sorry dad)
i've never been so scared in my life. good thing- i always always use a green man crossing where there is one. and i am sooooo careful bout crossing a road where there is no green man crossing.
never forgot that night. even now i feel uneasy when i'm back at my mum's and have to cross the road. i've had flashbacks there before'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
Lovely bump Glam.
I'm really enjoying today - I went out to buy a changing bag, stopped in Accessorize and the very bag I wanted was 70% off. That and a little fan were under €10. And then I ruined the good of it spending €40+ on things I was running out of in Lush, although the girl did give me some free stuff for being so pregnant. It's pretty cool to watch people's faces when they say, Oh, when are you due? and I answer, Thursday.
Next person to tell me first babies always go over and I should plan for three weeks from now gets a beating. I know they do; I also know that my doctor said I'm not allowed go over by more than a week and even that could be a bit dodgy because of my freakish placenta.
Oh, and if you sit down beside me and light up a cigarette, don't look surprised when I start yelling at you. Muppet.
I'm glad your son's ok, xmas - I'd ground him for as long as you can stand having him in the house.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
Three gifts left to buy0 -
my sis is over and bought me some clothes.
i have a gorgeous little babygro that says 'probably the best baby in the world' a babygro which is an Ireland rugby one (very cute) some bibs (for older baby) that say ' i've got irish roots' and 'smile if you're irish' and a little cardigan that has some flecks of blue in (thats the first thing we have that is blue)
cant wait for baby to be big enough to put the little rugby jerset/babygro thing on! not sure bout the bibs though, think sis when a bit overboard at dublin airport... lol!!'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -

well, i've sat on the floor for far too long and now my hips have seized up and I can't walk very far!
Oh well, I have found my PDA with in built sat nav and the charger for when he has to go to Manc on Tuesday. And have cleared enough room under the bed for the single mattress to slide under when we dismantle the bed.
Still got a looooooooooooooooooong way to go until this house is anywhere near ready for the arrival of LO but it's a start!
Off to put some washing on and unload the dishawasher I think.
Very quiet on here again today!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Nice bump glam. Don't really know how i compare, think i'm quite small looking down, but when ic aught site of myself in one of the full length mirrors in Next last weekend i looked huge.
Have cleaned one of the bathrooms. And have sorted all the baby grows and vests into different draws, tiny baby (here's hoping), Newborn and 0-3mths. Plus all the lovely hand made cardigans i have in another. Some of the stuff i still have from DS, others have been given to me, am so impressed have loads.
All the nice new stuff i bought in Next sales, is hanging in the wardrobe, but really needs washing. Should have done that today and got it on the line whilst it had been so sunny. Oh well.
Now want some lined wicker baskets or something like to put, towels, muslins, burp cloths, plus a laundry basket of some kind. Think another visit to Matalan or Instore is in order.
Am currently watcing Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix, because i am so bored. Time for Chinese soon.0 -

I was in Morrisons last night and they had loads of wicker laundry baskets and wicker stacking boxes, all fabric lined and good prices. They had white and dark brown coloured, got a medium sized laundry basket for £5, very similiar to 1 that I paid £20 for last year :rolleyes:0 -
