Bookie, I'd probably buy the ciggies anyway but I'm a sap - maybe she had a good reason for letting you down?

Wol, when is this bus going to yours?

Hmm..as yet the next "phase" of the groundworks is being tendered for ...by said top totty plus two other "much older establishments" (;)) .I need the winning contractor to start next week so if Pepe's up to it I'm sure we could arrange group transportation :D:D

    Thanks Wol.

It's complicated. He stole a shedload of money from his employers and had to leave work and his flat. So we agreed he'd move in here as my carer and we've claimed benefits as partners (not fraud as between us we'd get more money living apart). Given that he was on community service and has almost no chance of getting a job, I don't see that he was financially disadvantaged. My worry is with the things I bought, he could argue that it was using 'our' income support, and so he has a right to them. On the other hand, I can argue that the IS paid the bills only, and things like my dvds and books I bought from my disability benefits.

Doesn't matter what you argue. In this case possession is 9/10th of the law. Keep out of his reach everything you want to keep. He's done it before and he will again.

I've told him that we're not talking any more tonight, and he wants me to go through the conversation tomorrow, he thinks I'll realise that I'm being unreasonable and manipulative.

Not at all. He just wants to grind you down. His reasoning is that you've caved in before, so you will again.

I have just set the alarm for 4.30am  so maybe I ought to try the sleep thing.

I am so excited - tomorrow I have about 15 hours to sit down, read a book, watch a film or two (maybe) and drink wine. Then I have a friend who wants to see me, a comfy bed and sunshine. I am so lucky.

I'll post from over there. Thank you all for your friendship and support.
    Good luck Maz and Ames.
    Thank you Sammy.
