Forgot to share with you all a success from today. I put in a claim for credit card charges - 13 charges at £12 each + 8% interest. Today I received a letter confirming that they are unable to uphold the complaint, however have repaid the entire amount plus interest as a gesture of goodwill! Thought I was pushing it with this one - clearly not:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:! Off to post my success story on the appropriate thread to encourage others!:DLBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Nothing exciting in the post today. £6.50 Tesco vouchers and hubby's payslip. Oh well:o. My new mobile is coming today
(upgrade - free of course!!!!) and I've had to negotiate a new tarriff. I explained that I now live in London and call home every night so I am constantly exceeding my current tarriff. Before I was 200 minutes and 100 texts for £14.97 a month, now they have given me 600 minutes and unlimited texts for £23.00 each month plus a shiny new phone. It's not ideal as its increasing my contracted outgoings but I think its a pretty good deal and should be fine:o.
Been thinking about the mortgage all night - we need to get £120k for our house which would pay off our mortgage, secured loan and car (is this a good plan?). Then if we get the house for £190k we could start from scratch and our only outgoings would be the mortgage:D. Need to get some figures together to convince hubby. If the house is valued at £220k, we get it for £190k surely that would mean if we had to borrow £190k to mortgage that wouldn't be 100%? I think thats a rough estimate of 85% LTV? Any advice appreciated:DLBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Forgot to publically congratulate myself. Got my buildings and contents insurance renewal in which I thought was quite reasonable - £267.33. Went online via Top Cashback - managed to save £40 on my renewal and get £71 cashback. Well done me!!!!!!!!!!!:D:jLBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Yeah, it's the outstanding loan against the value of the property - in this case 86.363636%:D (calculator, not brain worked that out!)LBM #2 - April 2009 / debt @ LBM £23914Current debt October 2011 £15388.DFD December 2013:money:0 -

Just had a very nice old man representing Barclaycard at the door:eek:. He was looking for hubby - and asked if there was a telephone number he could be reached on. I very nicely explained that we had specifically requested correspondence in writing only from Barclaycard, that the account was in dispute and that in fact they were the subject of a complaint with the Ombudsman:D. The man was very nice and said he understood and thanks and left. Hopefully that has knocked that one on the head. Had a letter from Mercers and people finder or something re: Barclaycard - will send the appropriate letter off to both in the meantime.
No CCA = no payment thank you. Hubby would have had a fit if he had answered the door to that you - things like that freak him out!!!!
He understands the principle of what we are doing of course, but doesn't know the details and doesn't want to know (you'd think he had a bad heart or something!!!!):rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

My intention is to move and go into the new house debt free with only a mortgage to concentrate on paying off. How will this viewing go tomorrow?!
We took our son to Frankie and Bennys for dinner tonight - hubby is really nervous about taking a big mortgage on - however the cost of the mortgage is basically what we are paying now when we add up our mortgage, secured loan, loans and hp:rolleyes:. If we were debt free I believe we could afford it, but need to work out the figures to ensure I don't put our future in jeopardy:o.LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Forgot to mention that of course with my new phone and contract I went via Top Cashback and earned a cool £55 cashback:j. Just making a boiled egg and some toast for breakfast then going for a walk to collect my post (they keep our post for us to collect as my hubby gets himself in a state if he opens the mail and prefers to leave it for me to sort out!!!).LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Only 4 hours til the viewing - I can barely content myself:D. Caught sight of my signature when submitting the last post and decided to set myself a little challenge to keep me motivated. I plan to reduce my debt to £21k before 2010 begins - its not a huge amount (plan to pay off £1063.24 or more) but I need to be realistic as Christmas is coming :xmassmile and if we DO put our house up for sale I'll need to shell out for a home report etc:eek:. The easy way to achieve this would be to make a low F&F to Next which is sitting around £1130 - any suggestions?LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free
