I'm genuinely so very happy for you.

You're the poster gal for 'life after debt' as far as I'm concerned. I 'use' you as an incentive sometimes tbh. I kid myself one that one day we could be in the same position. :rotfl:

    Stay happy. x

I couldn't have put it better myself.

I am truly made up for you and although envious of your fantastic life, know that you worked blooming hard to get there. You give me faith that, one day, I will get out of this debt h3ll and be able to live the life I want. I'd love to emigrate but would have to find a way to make Oz want my DS and family as well before I'd leave my darling DGDs behind.

It's been lovely hearing from you, stay happy x

Thanks everyone! I'm taken aback how many of you still follow my humble little thread, even after such a long absence. You are good people, people who supported me through it all and kept me on the straight and narrow. Genuine happiness for me is what I get from each and every one of you. I have non-virtual friends who haven't voiced their happiness for us :D.

Love each and every one of you, would love to have any of you over here if you can find a way.............;).

Lucielle, re: education - we are actually really happy. There is alot of private education in WA and its way more affordable than in the UK. However, our son isn't in private education and we feel the work my son is doing (he is year 5, will be 10 in April), is way more advanced than he was doing in the UK! We are happy with the education, each school has its own reputation for its strength - some specialise in sport, drama etc. All round a good solid education so far - no concerns! :D

    Ok!

I'm about to phone OH to see if he can get the day off and if so I'm buying tickets for the expo!

It's not like we have a fantastic life here or that we've got shed loads of family we'd miss if we moved. Both sets of parents are dead, the only people we'd miss is middle 'child' (who we rarely see anyway) and OH's sister and her family who again, we rarely see.

I've registered with the 'Bob in Oz' website cos he deals with loads of stuff about how to move your dog.:rotfl:
