No post again today - think I'm having a bit of a drought, but if anyone is looking for Co-op leaflets I'm stockpiling.

    Single digit days!!! :T

    But I'm also a bit :(

Although you'll still be on here, so we'll probably not even notice when you don't post during your 22 hour flight :rotfl:

I'm afraid we will have to insist that you find an internet cafe in the airport as soon as you land and check in to let us know you arrived safe though ;)

Hi there, I made the journey from UK to Canada for work a few years ago and just wanted to wish you good luck. My children have settled in well here, but there are somethings that they crave and they are mostly edible! Take some of his favorite crisps, biscuits and sweets and stash them away as a treat for when he has the odd tricky day in the early days of his new home. Your friend who gave the good advice abt settling into the new school would probably love some Yorkshire tea bags and M&S bikkies and everyone would love clothes from Next or an Olympics teeshirt! There is a shop out here that sells some British food but it costs an arm and a leg! Oh and the kids comics out here don't have a free gift with every issue-the kids miss that! The things that we miss most? The children miss the jacket spuds and beans from Tesco's caf! ('the potatoes were asbig as my head Mum') and I miss the tea (sob!) and the Christmas lunches at the BHS Restaurant ! They are only little things however...you will LOVE your new life! Bon Voyage!!!

Just wanted to say Thank you Gargrave. You have in part inspired me to move 170 miles to a new job and temporary accommodation on a narrowboat and a new diary to keep me on the straight and narrow.

You have also inspired me to go out and get paint and start on the garage door at this unearthly hour in prep for letting the house!

Hope Australia is good to you

The wife sends a food parcell out to toronto every month for her friend who has been over there 10 years now...The most important thing is galaxy chocolate bars and hp sauce...:):) skype has made the world smaller...
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
