My hubb informed me today that he would go to australia to live tomorrow?
My kids faces were of horror! I was like what is left in ths country it is becoming more depressing by the day and ehwn you thin peacocks have gone bust it dont give us much hope does it!
It did get me thinking would it be worth it? have you visited or did you just decide to go?

I have never visited Jellybean - just decided to go. In saying that you will see we are down to the final stages for the BBC programme Wanted Down Under, so if successful will get the chance to do a weeks visit before we go.

Looking so forward to it, a wonderful chance to start over :D.

    Hi all

I haven't updated properly for a while, I've been shattered with working and trying to organise all things Oz!

So much going on! Littlewoods had made an arrangement with me £30 every 4 weeks interest free. However, I have been constantly harrassed by Nationwide Debt Recovery over the last few days (6 phone calls a day amounts to harrassment in my book). Apparently the arrangement was only for one year. Now Littlewoods nor NDR have had the decency to contact me in writing to advise that the arrangement was coming to an end. I answered the phone once to them and stated this, and that I wished to discuss this in writing only. It would seem they didn't understand (must have been the accent ;)).

I will be writing to them with one of my "do not contact me by telephone" letters quoting the Data Protection Act and the Office of Fair Trading's guidelines on Debt Collection ;).

Also will be including in the letter that I am happy to continue the existing arrangement or they can have a low F&F. Planning to get onto this tonight when DS is at tae kwon do and I have peace perfect peace.

Have to fork out £180 for hubby to do his 17th editon wiring regulations update prior to Oz. Also have a few random letters to do to Wescot re: the fact they haven't replied to my letters requesting their agreement to my specific terms of accepting their reduced settlements.

Will post it all on here!

Just wanted to say I've visited (I have family who moved to Darwin) for 5 weeks and I would move there in an instant given the chance. It really is a different way of life down there.

Anyway, here in the real world.............have decided to contact my little friend in the CEOs office at Littlewoods seeing as I'm being stalked by NDR. Will see what comes of this and let you all know ;).

Had the shipping guy over today to quote for our stuff to be moved down under, tells me he will email me this afternoon with the quote - expecting around £1k. Have also been advised by my boss that I can reclaim my tax allowance from HMRC, so hoping between me and my hubby, the rebate should pay for the shipping :D.
