Well well well. The postman was a sore disappointment this morning.

He brought me a load of rubbish, oh and something from Barclaycard. It was in response to my CCA request, so its nice to see they are still ignoring my DMP letter :wall:.

I'm off to try to scan it onto photobucket so I can post it.

Gargrave, slowly, but progressing! I've not done a proper SOA and probably really should.

Well it took a while but I've uploaded the response from Barclaycard to photobucket. I'm going to post this on the CCA advice thread too. They are not saying this is the CCA but I'd be surprised if they can provide more than this.

Small savings made. Called O2 broadband to cancel our broadband as I found it we qualify for free wireless broadband with Sky. There should have been "set up" costs of £60  but I wrote to complain and they called me today to offer it free:beer:. After our 30 days notice, thats an extra £7.34 each month to go towards debts!:j

Hoping that extra £7.34 will go towards the extra £4500 debt I just "found". Realised that sadly when calculating my unsecured debt I had omitted a few rather large ones. As though it wasn't bad enough :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Congratulations on your job - I have to say I have been in lurkdom reading your diary and hadn't got around to posting.
You are doing really well - not so good about the forgotten debts though :( - there aren't any more lurking about are there? I hope not. Anyway onwards and upwards.

Hi df, thanks for the congrats.:hello:

Who would have thought it was so easy to forget debts (2 overdrafts for starters). The good news is that HBoS have offered £560 which I have accepted as partial settlement of bank charges claim pending outcome of test case. This will repay the £500 overdraft and the account can be closed:D. I have of course, written back requesting they reconsider the amount and increase it.

Thanks for posting, I have checked every nook and cranny and can be reassured that there are no more debts out there with our name on them.

Hi There, I just wanted to say that your Diary is a complete inspiration to me!! I intend to post my new Diary tonight having seriously fallen off the Wagon in the past year

Congratulations on the new Job - Oh, and I used to live near Hillingdon Hospital, it's a really good Hospital so well done you!! Also, in terms of nearby places to go - Uxbridge is always good fun, also go to Ruislip as well.

And if you're going to be Flying back and forth then you really should go via Heathrow as it's literally a hop skip and a jump from the Hospital!! :)

Go for it and enjoy your Evening out - And thank you again!!

Thanks Helen, god I didn't expect to be inspiring to anyone.

More a "what not to do". I buried my head in the sand for years and it was so difficult to face the debts but now I've done it I feel so much more in control! Good luck with your diary, let me know what you call it and post a link so I can take a look! :)

Well all, had a good night last night
I was the first to leave, and think I've left my purse in the taxi. There was nowt in it after I paid the taxi driver and I've cancelled all my cards etc. Heartbroken, because it was my favourite purse - a lovely Mulberry one bought for me by my 2 best friends when I started my course.

Phoned the taxi company - driver not on yet to call back later. Not holding out much hope of getting it back.

Waiting with bated breath for the postman................

Awwww Gargrave....so sorry that you lost your Favourite Purse :( But hopefully the Driver will have found it and will bring it back to you later today - But at least you've done the most important thing which is cancelling your Cards...

Glad you had a good night last night....you deserved to have a night out :)

I used to wait around with baited breath about what the Postie will bring...but you're starting to get everything under control now, which is great, so no need to worry about what the Postie will bring. And if it's something that you're not sure what to deal with, well I'm sure someone will be able to help with it if you post on here :)

Carry on in the same way over this Weekend and you'll do just fine Sweetie ... And yes, you ARE an inspiration to me!! ;)
