Nothing from the postman today - not even the bouquet from HBoS.
Oh well, off to bed. I'll need to get up super early to help the postman up the drive in the morning - he is bound to be laden..........:rolleyes:LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Morning all.
Well the postman was clearly saving all the goodies for today.:j
I received my formal "conditional" job offer from Hillingdon Hospital e.g. subject to references, crb check etc.
I got the stupid HBoS letter for OH cc saying "we would love to negotiate but you need to go through payplan or cccs". About to formulate my "you talk a load of tosh" response.:D
I got a letter from one of the mail order accounts saying you haven't made your minimum payment. About to formulate my "i wrote to you after seeing into my crystal ball and realising it was never going to happen - you have a letter explaining what i will be paying you" response.:D
Oh, and the best of all. The car tax reminders for OH van and our car:eek:. Only taxing the van for 6 months because we are going to sell it when I start in London;). There will be no need for 2 vehicles because on my days off I am unlikely to be anywhere not within walking distance! We own the van so that should be cash in the pocket:)LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Maybe not so much cash in the pocket but in the F&F pot. Hoping to make an offer to Next to try to get it settled before Christmas. Before I started all this, I would never have dreamed of setting such challenging targets, but in a sick and twisted way it feels good.LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

I note HBoS still haven't credited our account with our partial settlement for bank charges hardship claim of £560:eek:.
I can't believe its not top of their "to do" list.:rolleyes:LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Just organised a cheap night out with girls from my class. It is the last time we will get together before graduation. Some are going to New Zealand for work, some of us are off to London and god knows what the rest of them will do!
Going to one of the girls houses, its a bring your own bottle night and no cars allowed. Hubbie going to run me over, will need to organise how to get myself home after a few glasses of wine!LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Enjoy your evening, I LOVE bring a bottle nights, cheap and cheerful and every bit as fun as a night out :-)
It's a busy job this letter writing, are you hoping to have it all in check before you come down to London? Or will OH store them up for you for the weekends?!! :-)0 -
Hi Jen
We are taking pyjamas so its going to a be a real girls night in! Comfortable - no high heels or bridget jones knickers cutting off the circulation:beer:
I am hoping to have it all in check but its probably unlikely. I'm hoping to teach him to scan and email so that he can keep me up to date, although initially I think I will only be away for 3/4 days a week so we will see!

Hey bluejeans, thanks for reading! Hope you skimmed some of the duller ones.
This diary has been one of the most motivating factors and the reason I keep at it :money:Hope your fuzzy head is better.
I've been really lucky, I've had really positive feedback from many on here and wonderful advice although it was really scary compiling and listing the SOA! The advice I got was great and its good to know you are on the right track when you make changes.
Think I'll subscribe once the first installment is in on Monday - the new you!:DLBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Morning all.:hello:
Awaiting the postman with bated breath.............:o
Hoping for a NSD today - taking mother in law for her shopping.
DS going to to football today then off to his friends for lunch and playtime - football is free - friends house = peace perfect peace:D. I have served my time this week taking the 3 boys Monday and Tuesday.
Already bought the wine for the night at my friends tonight. Just realised a NSD might be near impossible if I want to get myself home.....................she lives about 15 miles away.
Hoping the postman brings my ipoints vouchers for my Xmas jar - £10 Argos £10 John Lewis. Also off to check some of my survey sites to see if I have enough to claim a voucher. Also have to log my shopping on consumer pulse later - this earns me a £10 Frasers voucher once a month.
I bet the postman brings another letter from HBoS - but will it be "Mrs G, you are right we are wrong - the till is open take what you want" or will it be "Mrs G, don't tell us you are skint we are not interested - cough up". Likely to be the latter I guess.
Still no word from Barclaycard - I'm sure they are about to refer us to Mercers.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Wrote to the DCA collecting our council tax arrears asking for an outstanding balance - I suspect its not much. Do you think they would accept a F&F.
Bad news - just realised our total unsecured debt is not £20k+ as originally calculated. I didn't include one mail order account and our 2 HBoS overdrafts. Gutted. The figure is now a staggering £25,323.48:eek:
