    and you are ill too, how annoying
    the wind is scary today!

    The flight was fun:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

    Still feeling rubbish. Heard there are to be 20 new midwives starting in our unit - that will probably mean less bank shifts available. How am I to save up for Oz without having bank shifts on tap?!:mad:

  • Is it case of 20 start but only 5 end up staying or is that wishful thinking!!!! Glad you landed safely as just seen a plane landing in the wind (in the nwespaper ) and omg im glad i wasnt on it!!

    Here we go a again!!!:mad: DFD Oct 2016 hopefully!!!
  • Lol thanks ladies:p! Yes there are bright sides to it - but of course if I can't do bank it means I have to take more flights to get home as there is no way I'm staying down here having days off - more expense:mad:.

    Never mind, I've booked quite a bit. Maybe once most of the Oz initial costs are out of the way I should be a bit better off. Applied for 3 jobs - one with a Trust who has offered sponsorship so that might take a bit out of my costs:o.

    Just done all the surveys in my inbox. One bank payment due in on Thursday (around £200), then hubby's wage on Friday (around £425). Had to post a cheque off tonight for hubby's speeding fine £60. Also have to pay a parking fine before it doubles - 2 x stupidity = £90:mad:.

    MUST BE MORE CAREFUL!!!

    On the plus side - planning to list 2 or 3 items on ebay each day before I go to work. Hopefully that will help get some cash in. Also did another Amazon trade in of an old DS game of my sons = £4.50 being added to my gift certificate balance.:T

  • Planning to print off the FOS complaint form and photocopy the Santander correspondence to send off my complaint and hopefully get my £25 back! Must make use of a very reasonable nightshift ;).

    What else can I get up to?.................

  • Have arranged a little "night in" with the girls on Saturday night. We are using a DVD from the free love film trial (which is netting me a £20 River Island voucher for sister in law's Christmas), for entertainment and using a £10 Nandos voucher (from a previous complaint) and our 20% NHS discount for a takeaway. We have the ingredients for French Martinis in the cupboard.............. cheap and cheerful :D.

    Hi Gargrave...

    Just wondering where you found the LoveFilm trial with £20 RI voucher? Could definitely use that as a Christmas Pressie I think?

    Love reading your thread, you are doing so well and v jealous of the move to Oz. We would love to move to Perth, when we went a couple of years ago we were very tempted to put the for sale board up when we got home. The only thing that stopped us was family. I hope it all works out for you.
  • Plans sound fabulous for the weekend.

    Have you checked your credit file for any unwarranted searches / odd linked names etc? thats something you could get your teeth into too!

    Ive just written off to experian as there was a search for a person with the same forename as me and different surname linked to my credit file and they had searched for thousands of products from mortgages to credit cards....
