Having a think about our loans and mortgages over the last 10 years - I have an inkling that we almost definately had PPI on an old HBOS mortgage, think we might just have been stupid enough to add PPI to a couple of loans too. Not certain though - do I just write to all creditors we had loans with and enquire?

Never one to miss an opportunity :D

Just confirmed our HP on the car finishes September 2012:j:j

That will be £269 a month saved, and we still have a very reliable car (hopefully will be in 13 months time!!!) to run for at least a year payment free ;)

Capital 1 card came in today - planning to use this to rebuild my credit history. Make one small purchase each month and repay in full. This time next year will it really have made much difference I wonder? Worth a try though.

Also received £34.48 for a couple of real junk gold trinkets. Not much but every penny counts. Off to put it in the bank today. Also got a bill in for our gas and electricity and we are £30.93 in credit.:money:

Bought a dress in the House of Fraser sale to go out for a friends birthday in London tomorrow. Thanks to the riots we are no longer going out:mad:, but on the bright side returned the dress and I am now £54 better off:T.

Right boys and girls, have read fairly extensively the PPI threads. Planning to get stuck into reclaiming wholeheartedly! I know our HBOS mortgage definately had PPI which was quoted including PPI - no option of calculations without. As this was our first mortgage we just signed on the dotted line - no questions (a habit which was to carry on as it turned out:rotfl::rotfl:........).

Also took an HBOS loan out around this time, which I am fairly certain would have had PPI. My next plan is to crack on with the credit cards as my husband had 2 barclaycards and an HBOS credit card when I met him...........and he can be sold anything so no doubt PPI included on these. We no longer allow him to answer the door to salesmen:cool:.

The 2 Barclaycards are settled, and the HBOS credit card is in dispute as they have no CCA. I'm planning to use the details from Equifax I had to attempt to claim these. I will of course let you know of my progress (if any)!

    OMG!!!!:j:j:j

Hubby was phoning to make the agreed payment to A&L loan (only have £335 left to clear), and asked him to enquire whether we took PPI. It would appear we did without realising as it was online and we would have had to "opt out", and as A&L received the largest fine for mis-selling of PPI I don't even have to claim I just have to write to them re: my product to receive a refund! It was taken out in 2006:cool:.

Not holding my breath for instant repayment but seems like I'm onto a winner! Hoping to get at least enough to repay remainder of loan and get some cash in hand. Just off to peruse the PPI boards to see if I can get an idea of how much to expect on a £7k loan.

Made a list of loans, credit cards etc to tackle but haven't started yet!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Just filling out the claim form then going to the local for a couple of celebratory drinks.
