Morning prim, dont worry re the lentils as none of my lot notice, I just put a handful in they look like bits of carrot so it all helps bulk out the mince. I put it in my shepherds pie yesterday and a handful of porridge. You can put it in most mince dishes and stretches the meal, its good for them too!!:D

    Have a good day.

Hello everybody in the happy virtual world of iwannabedebtfreeness!
Might try some of your tricks in the mince dishes to make them go even further.
Not frozen my c/c yet but I think I might actually. Maybe it was you Jellie I saw originally giving out that tip. Just realised, it's been a NSD today so pleased about that. Going to update my spreadsheet now with all out financial changes on it, we just scribbled them on paper, so I hope my additions were correct! Watch this space if not!

    Hi Prim,

Just read through your whole diary (well techincally I read it the other day but people started trying to read what I was writing over my shoulder, tsk tsk!) and I just wanna congratulate you on how well you're doing! It's nice to know that there are other people who want to make their money count for something rather than just spending it frivolously every month.
Where are you thinking of going on your holiday? (I can't remember if you mentioned it?) I'm saving up for a week in Switzerland, went there when I was in the Girl Guides and would love to go back!

Welcome to my diary spiderdijon, I think it definitely helps with the money side of things having your own diary and it's actually nice to have some virtual friends too in a funny kind of way!
Switzerland sounds lovely. I don't have any plans on where we want to go next year, I don't even care if it is in this country and not abroad, I just want to be able to afford to go away and pay for it with real money, not a plastic card!

I put grated carrot in my sheppards pies but can't put it in lasagne for some reason, it has to be chopped carrot. Wierd maybe but it's the way I am lol. I am going to buy some lentils this week to make a dahl curry so may be brave and put left overs into a mince dish.

Just remembered I forgot to bulk out the soup I made yesterday with lentils or beans!!

I hope the finances were looking ok when you worked them out. I should really check mine today. In fact I should really bung a ticker in my diary soon!
