Welcome Jellie!
Yeah, I'm glad I put the food money I didn't spend straight to the c/c (however did we manage without internet banking?!), otherwise I just know I would have spent it. I am trying really hard just now, inspired by others - you should read yukkibear's diary too for inspiration. I have wasted a small fortune over the years on food/buying too much/chucking it out etc so I am determined to make this small amount of cash in my purse do until pay day. I tried the Flylady thread once - got my bedroom all organised, but I found working full-time I just couldn't keep up with the thread, let alone the housework! Everyone was very nice and welcoming but gosh that thread moves so quickly.
And yeah, yb my total did come down, but alas I think that will be it until pay day, unless the lottery comes up that is, but you never know. We have a family night out on Saturday and have £80 cash put aside for that, so if there is any change that will go the c/c. Gosh, £80 in one night seems absolutely crazy, but it is a one off.
Have a good w/e all.

Hello everyone
Night out was good thanks, and very MSE - we never spent as much as I had put aside..........but........confession time - we blew the lot on Sunday - lunch out and bits and bobs. It was good though and I'm not going to get annoyed about it - it's done now. Anyway, back again with determination. Not a lot left in purse for food - about £5 I think (need to count and update signature) but pay should be in bank on Friday so not long to go!
Turfy - what's a kili?! Hope you got the ironing done. Mine up to date apart from one thing! Won't last though.
Hope you all well.0 -
P.S. I like the name Prim! I feel Primula sounds like a right old wifie and wish I'd chosen another username, but at the time everything I thought of was already taken, so in the end I just went through every flower I could think of. Not very imaginative though is it?! LOL
Off to take mince out the freezer to make lasagne for tomorrow's tea. It's strange, I was off this site for a few days and it just feels great to be back now! I think it is official - My silly name is Primula and I've got an addiction to this website! LOL0 -
Lol, well done on not spending so much on sat night but well done also for enjoy the whole weekend and staying in budget.
You're getting more organised with dinner's than I am. Have nothing out of the freezer for todays dinner so have no clue what I'm going to do.0 -
At least Primula sticks in the brain! Some usernames are so similar I get people muddled up.
If you'd put aside the money to enjoy a treat then nothing wrong with using it for that. I tend to use money I don't have for treats.....a bit of as problem really!!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
Well the mince is out of the freezer, but not cooked so not as organised as I had planned! About £8 or so left in purse for food til Friday but should be ok.
Total for furniture loan should be down, just due to the usual monthly payment which I think should be out of the bank now. Will check before I change my signature.
Couldn't sleep last night for some reason, not at all like me. Ended up getting up and going back to bed at 3 a.m. Counted my Tesco Clubcard vouchers and have over £100. :j Planning using them for a weekend break away in October. Has anyone ever exchanged theirs for the hotel breaks?0
