Hello to everyone
Haven't spent much time on here this week so now trying to catch up with all the diaries. Have been so busy and unorganised all week and it has told on the purse strings unfortunately. Spent far too much money last week on carp food and other stuff I didn't need. I didn't keep a tally of what I was buying/spending. I hate going back to the old ways so quickly. So I am back now. Shopping done in Aldi this week, first time in there, and like what I saw. Treated us to sirloin steaks from the butchers before I went to Aldi as they had 20% off their sirloin steaks - having them tonight and they better be good - £15.80 for 3!
Now I am off to finish the housework before I cook the steaks. Hope everyone is well.

Hannah - your vouchers arrived quickly - let us know if you got a nice hotel booked no probs.
but just had to say credit card is now at ZERO. I'm so excited
I missed this - WELL DONE :j:j

Enjoy the steaks (I've found that fillets are almost the same price as sirloins these days - only thing is there is no fat for the doggy boys after we've eaten). And before the DFW brigade attack - it is a special treat - not an every night meal

But just think of the interest you're saving on the credit card now.
• Hi Primula

I can't believe I missed your diary. Made up for it now by reading all the way through. :D
You have done fantastically well - keep up the good work and I'm sure you will be debt free then mortgage free in no time.
:j:j

Thanks for visiting my little diary and leaving a comment, always nice to have support from fellow DFW members.

Hope you enjoyed your steak hunni!! Good to hear that you are getting back on track again this week. We get quite a bit of our fruit/veg & milk from Aldi, its great for us as a top up shop so long as I stay clear from all the ailses with kids toys/gadgets bits etc otherwise we tend to spend a fortune.

We used the vouchers and have booked for London Hyde Park Ramada Jarvis hotel for the end of Oct. 2 nights £268 (£230 of which is the clubcard vouchers) we also booked the trains and got them for £12.50 each, each way so £50 then got a £5 online discount too very happy. Only thing I would say about booking the hotel was that we had to be really flexable with dates as every date we seemed to suggest they didn't have available for tesco tokens so in the end we asked what they did have available but got there in the end! Can't wait now lol x

Hello all, and welcome Palema, and gosh well done for reading my little diary, it has definitely helped me to date, fell off the wagon a bit last week but like I say, I am back.
Steaks were really nice. [STRIKE]Diet[/STRIKE] healthy eating started today though, so it will be interesting to see if we can do the healthy eating thing on a budget but I will try. Got an empty freezer apart from a couple of things but plan to eat lots of baked potatoes, pasta, rice dishes anyway and try to cut down on eating so much meat! Back to having £7 per day for shopping so I am going to keep a proper track of that again this month, last week was a disaster :o.
Well done Hannah getting a hotel booked, and bargain train tickets. I think I might just send my Tesco vouchers off now for the hotel vouchers and see if I can get something booked too. I checked on line and the hotel I'd like is £420 for the two nights B&B  I would never normally pay that, but I have nearly enough vouchers so it would really be free, well it would be only £20 and I could manage that. I could try and save some of my food money for spending money so nothing would go on the evil c/c! I'm torn - will I, won't I, but it would be something to look forward to and what if Tesco change their deals now they are giving out 2 points instead of 1? Then my vouchers might not be worth as much! Oh, decisions, decisions! I need help guys! I have £101 of vouchers, so would have £400 to spend on a hotel.

My car insurance is due 4 days before pay day so it will have to go on the evil c/c, but only for 4 days so I am allowing myself that. I must shop around in the next week or so to see if I can get a better deal though.

OMG I have rambled on a bit. Hope everyone is well. It's a gorgeous day here today, washing will be nice and dry reading for ironing! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
