I was so determined before when I wanted to be rid of the c/c and now we have paid it off I feel I am not being so careful again, not keeping a note of what I am spending etc and going back to doing silly thigs, e.g. buying a bottle of juice at 80p from the shop when I could easily have taken it from home,
so I have decided I am going to aim to save £200 to be our spending money on our weekend break away courtesy of Tesco (not booked yet - still waiting for vouchers to arrive, but hoping for October time). I want to keep this completely separate from our holiday savings account for Summer next year so I am going to add it to my signature. Anyway, when I did all the scrimping before, I actually enjoyed it and felt very proud of myself, which was a nice feeling. So, I have everything in for today's dinner and don't need to spend any money on food today so I am going to put today's shopping money away for my "weekend away spends" - so £7 so far!

:j£7 is a good start. You will soon see that add up when you do all the little moneysaving things, taking your own lunch, and shaving a bit off the shopping etc. Just think how nice it will be not to come home after your littel break to a credit card statement (that would have gone up!!!!)
Definitely the way to go, I'll watch for the increase on your sig prim good luck:TVisa £[STRIKE]5063 [/STRIKE]now 0. Loan 1 €[STRIKE]4885[/STRIKE] now 0. Loan 2 €29,590 now €0 as of 22/02/2016 Mgage €55000/ €23,639 at 01/02/18

Your dinner sounds lovely Palema - YB you could have pork chow mein, mmhhh yum yum.
Not booked yet Hannah, off to surf now to list all my choices. Only prob is, I sent for £400 worth and thought they would send them in £20's or something, but they sent 2 x £200 vouchers so I'll need to be careful not to lose out any. That's good you got your confirmation, you can relax now and look forward to it.
Have a good weekend everyone.0 -
